I'll join a convoy down too - need to work out who's going just for the sunday i guess or just see who posts up here.
From Cov I guess you'll come across M42 and then down M5 so would need to meet south of M42 junction...
McDonalds at M5 J5? It would only be a 17 mile / 30 minute convoy from there though.

If there is a drop out list, pop me on it please. Been working hard the last month to get to the gathering this year. Also travelling with a B2000 (build pics soon). I know it's a slim chance but just thought I would ask?

Was planning on getting a mate to bring the Datsun down too, any room to squeeze that in? It's only half the size of a real car If there is a drop out list, pop me on it please. Been working hard the last month to get to the gathering this year. Also travelling with a B2000 (build pics soon). I know it's a slim chance but just thought I would ask? I imagine we will have at least 2 or 3 drop outs so we should have room for another bagged Esprit and a Datsun. What's a B2000? Should have room for you all anyway

OK, I have sent everyone with their name down on the list a PM. Please could you all reply to this PM just to confirm your attendance, as I would like to keep empty spaces to a minimum and we have people willing to pinch your spot. There are a few people on the list who have only one or two posts on this forum, and havn't been online for a while. daneveritt hollisimogen in particular, please reply to my PM so I know you are definately coming, otherwise I will fill your spot. Sorry I'm not quite as 'on it' as I was last year, I've got a lot of other stuff going on atm and this stand is maybe lower on my list of priorities than it should be. It's still gonna kick butt though...

I know it's a slim chance but just thought I would ask? There's definately space for you on the stand now matey I'll make sure you and Rob park next to eachother too if that's OK. I can't imagine either of you ever get the chance for photos next to another airbagged MK1 Esprit...

I'm happy to go either - probably B road is better for me as motorway wind drags me right back against my roof cage sail!

IMPORTANT!!! I could really do with everyones help in trying to identify you all. Most of you I have never met, I won't be able to remember what your car looks like (no offence, all the cars on the stand are super-cool) and I will have to identify you from a crowd of around 1000 cars, at 8am, with a hangover. To do this, I am asking that every car going on to the Midlands Stand has an A4 piece of paper in the NS front corner of the windscreen with 'Midlands Stand' clearly written on it in big letters. This will make it 10x easier for me to spot you in the crowd or in the campsite and give you your stand pass. I am not going to be at the gate any earlier than 8am, so if you plan on getting to the venue earlier, you won't be able to getyour stand pass until that time. If you see me over the course of the weekend, or on the morning, grab me and I will grab your stand pass. I look a bit like this unfortunate curse word Here's the final list for the Midlands Stand 2014, let me know if there are any mistakes on here... 1. timbaker - 1978 Honda Acty Panel Van (God willing!) 2. adam73bgt - MGB GT (or Jaguar XJ40) 3. deanchad – Lotus Esprit 4. espritv8 - Lotus Esprit 5. freshandminty - retro nissan cube (allowable post 1995 exception) 6. Justanotherhigh - Volvo 240 estate unless something mad happens before august! 7. Justanotherhigh's friend - Austin Allegro estate Desert colour MX-5 8. Deanchad – Mazda B2000 9. Maxxxer - MG Midget 10. 11. carltonx - 1961 morris minor 12. retrowarwick - 1991 Range Rover classic 3.9 v8 Vogue 13. toreno - triumph dolomite 14. stu farr - mgbgt 15. a three meter long go cart (if theres space) 16. jordy - hillman imp 17. Retrolegends - Hillman Not so Super Minx (hidden on the back row hopefully) 18. daneveritt - MK2 Fiesta??? 19. hollisimogen - MK1 Golf Cab 20. Dougalmagic - 72 Cal look beetle. (or 76 triumph tr7) 21. Andrewbaran - Eunos MX-5 22. retroandproud - Fiesta XR2i 2.0 Zetec 23. RickyR - kick ass zeteced wide arched Rickam Ranger 24. Thedonkey 92 bx tzd turbo 25. Toms_cortina - volvo 940 turbo 26. Toms_cortina - Volvo 940 saloon 27. Toms_cortina - Volvo 940 16v 28. Toms_cortina - Volvo 240 GLT 29. Karl - Rickman Ranger and/or Marina Estate
