Some times I have to remind myself that this is how it all started... And then some time later there was this... Bonkers brilliant when I think about it. Then came the hand painted lettering and pin striping, proper old school style, and then custom interior. It certainly has served a purpose - I needed a different kind of load lugger. But where to from here?

Early chrome hubcaps? Air-ride? frenched rear lights? chrome wing mirror?
Or leave as is and enjoy the admiring looks!

It's so awesome - a real swan from a duckling. These are all just little back-seat-driver ideas so ignore if not your taste. I'd get one of those custom front ends with the 'bumper delete' that has the bigger, neater grille (like this without the flamejob) ...and maybe a windscreen visor ? Not one of those chromey-fake stick-on things like you see on a lot of the blingy halfords PT Cruisers; I'm thinking a proper formed steel hot-rod one with dimple die holes. Also extend the bottom door strips to lose that little indent that used to stop the rear-doors fouling the fronts when open. Paint the black strip on the b-pillars?

hard pressed on ways to improve it.... chrome wheel trims and like munky said, hubcaps, maybe....perhaps a way to mimic 30s chrome bumper or ? I do like it the way it is....only other thing I could think of would be to redo the headlights 1936 oldsmobile style.... JP

Some good ideas there guys, thanks. I do love it the way it is but there’s certainly things I could do from those suggestions that would freshen Preston up. Deciding just what to do is tricky when I’m largely happy with it as it is. I do wonder to myself how else front headlights could be done without looking odd or trying to hard to be vintage. Frenched rear lights are Cool I reckon - there are some good ones to use too. Front is another story! While I’m deciding what to do with this PT I’ve gone and bought another... Here we go again

Smoothed front end with maybe some Bentley style lights slotted in? Lose the side repeaters and french a electric aerial into the rear of front fender.

Good work for sure. For me just to freshen up the look I’d have the wheels silver though. Or mess with the Euro scene and put wide BBS splits on it 👀

Nice to see this pop up again after so long, still looking smart.

Nice to see this pop up again after so long, still looking smart. Knowing this guy works in mysterious ways........ One has to ask what has been happening in the background in the mean time?? Come on, stop holding out on us.

Thanks guys. Haha grizz not much on this PT really. It’s been SORN for winter and had a new clutch, flywheel and concentric slave for its daily duties. Progress on the other PT project is slow but steady... I’m actually considering selling this one now...

Looks about perfect to me - perhaps some hub caps and maybe do the ex door bottoms as mentioned by Littlepixel above. Oh, and PLEASE sort the headlights out, are they supposed to be pee yellow? That happens to cars here and IMNSHO looks carp.

Seen this today in San Diego's FB Marketplace. For a moment i thought it was yours and wondered how it ended up over here, but closer inspection seems to suggest it is not - and the poor thing is in very bad shape
