No you didn't get a pic of my car. Don't feel bad though no one else did either I know what you mean about missing out gems though - I thought I'd covered it all but seen a few on your pic collection I never spotted and saw a couple as we were leaving that me and my mate both said "Where was that hiding - I never saw that..."

They do pop up for sale now and again, but mainly the automatics.

Yes, you did! I spent a while biting my lip in true British fashion as some stand-invaders had parked up on the TAB pitch. In fact it wasn't until later on that I mentioned to someone in passing (in an Austrian accent) that our stand had attracted some imposters who must be shot, and they said "Oh no mate that's DarrenW". This is when I felt sheepish and realised I was parked right next to you all day and didn't say hi. So, hi! Digging the white bus.

Ha ha ha that was Andy (Hardcore), as we were driving in he was marshalling and said we could park with him/you lot. I bumped in to Mark Colonelk later and mentioned where we were... "AHHHHHHHH! I wondered who that was, Andy's done that to troll us all" Despite having been around this place since (before) day one I only know a handful of faces, if I'd realised I'd have said hello too! The Wedge belongs to another name from the very early days of RR, Andrew (Rainking) and Abi (don't think she's ever posted here), it's always nice to be in the back chauffeur-driven around

I barely got more than half way around the retro car parking in three hours 'cos I was nattering away to people for ages, and then I somehow bypassed a load of stuff in a semi-hurry to get to the start line, and never moved from there until the end of the day. If I make it again (which I will try to!) I'll try harder, and maybe not drink a *lot* of quality Austrian lager all day at VW Action on the Saturday, and finish it off during RRG in the sunshine!

I was a couple of cars behind and thought if you can't get out there's no way I'm getting out! Hope you got out without any damage. No you didn't get a pic of my car. Yeah know what you mean - we had a wander round during the hill climb lunch break but that was nowhere near enough time. We'd got about a quarter through the car park when we heard the restart so wandered back for that. Will definitely be back next year and hopefully camping next time round.

Hope you got out without any damage. haha yeah that was me *shameface* The Alfa is not as low as it used to be, but it now rocks a pretty aggresive splitter (as you can see from the pic). Combined with the long front overhang it makes the car impossible to drive over any sort of bump. I was basically trying to get out without leaving that behind - which I managed - just - but it is pretty knackered now! Sorry for holding people up, I felt like a bit of a d!ck!

Yes, thank you. I apologise for the jaunty parking angle but that's as far as it would reverse up the hill before it dug itself a big hole. A big thanks to all who helped push.

What a nice reminder as the winds batter the west coast of this wonderful day back in the summer. RRG is the best event in the calendar and I'm gutted that I won't be able to make it this year! Anyway this is by far and away the most extensive colletion of photos from the event that I've come across. That said, you didn't get a photo of my car; however you went one better and got a picture of me, seen here talking to Edd! Incidentally the Skoda in question has a Rover K-series engine in it and has been resprayed in Ford RS blue. Top work Darren.

Oooh threadbump! I missed the K-Series aspect of that Skoda, thanks! That's the thing with such a variety of machinery, not only is there so much to take in on first glance but so much requiring a second or third look too! You got one of mine, first show it has been to under its own power in four years We chatted to you for a while, you showed us around the engine etc. Lovely car, absolutely spot-on I'm shocked that someone actually took a picture of my triumph-acclaim!!! I'm shocked you think nobody would!
