Well done on the recent progress both on and off track Simon, you're absolutely flying!
I'll be at Donnington tomorrow supporting my friend in club 2wd and so will try and come see you and the car and to cheer you on as well.

So last weekend was round 4 of UK Time Attack and the Tuxman Racing team headed to Donington park , having only ever driven Donington once before and that was a number of years ago I guessed we would be up against it !! First Job was a good checkover by Alan Cox of ACMR and a rear spring change to stiffen up the rear of the car , thanks to Dave Baseley of Jetstream Motorsport for supplying them quickly and to Craig Brookes for collecting for us !! First and second practise went ok but I was struggling with craners curves , turning in unsited at over 100mph was pretty nervy and my lack of experience was showing through , to be honest I really struggled and just could not seem to get it right , in the end a entry speed of 113mph was a pretty scary ride 😂😂 Head down and get stuck in , slowly times came down , qualified 3rd and finished 3rd in the final with a lap Time of 1.16.6 . Well done to Spooks Motorsport for taking the win with a winning time or 1.16.2 , club pro is very close this year !! Great work by Dawn Roberts and alan Cox to get me and the Noble to 3rd , next stop Oulton park .

It's been a while since I caught up with this thread. Absolutely fantastic results with this stunningly prepared and awesome Noble. Great to hear you're keeping well too. Thanks for keeping us posted.

Excellent stuff as always. You're way faster than me through Craner - mind you, I last went round there in my MG Metro some 20+ years ago! Oh, and it looks like your earlier pics in the thread have become victims of Photobucket's attempt to make you buy a hosting account

Nice too meet you guys too , thanks for the support !!
Noble has had a good checkover and we are both ready for Oulton park this Saturday, last time we were there the engine let go so I'm pretty nervous !!!!
We both have unfinished business at Oulton so hoping it's going to be dry as I'm rubbish in the wet 😂😂😂
Fingers crossed 🤞🤞

Good luck, will be coming on Saturday whatever the weather, don't think it's due to be the best though I'm afraid!
Will come and say hello and pick up a poster if they are still available!

Well what a track , Oulton park did not disappoint !!! Struggled all day with the track , lack of speed in sector 1 seemed to be the problem , add to that a complex track that was pretty bumpy in places and me and the Noble had a fight on our hands !!! Did not help the situation when I woke up feeling like curse word , this poxy illness is a pain sometimes , wish this transplant would hurry up 😩😩 Turned out just needed bigger balls around sector 1 for the lap times to improve , a best lap of 1.33.2 saw me clinch 3rd spot but only 0.002 off second place !!! In the morning I had been 5 seconds off the pace so in the end I was relieved , again the Noble was superb and never missed a beat even though I ragged the curse word out of her all day !! Summer break now , car is at Jetstream Motorsport for some TLC , roll on Croft .

Rust is lighter than Carbon Fibre which is why old Fords are so fast.

Hi Guys , sorry been away on holiday plus playing with a new motor 😎 Abarth 595 180 bhp , bloody great fun 👍👍 Collected the Noble from Jetstream Saturday morning , she has had a service and checkover ready for Croft next weekend ! On the health front the good lady had surgery a couple of weeks ago to remove her kidney stone , nasty little invasive op that has left her very sore , feeling pretty guilty over that , unfortunately last weeks bloody test reveal a drop in function to 7% this pretty much signals the end of the fight and next wed I meet up with the kidney team to start on my dialysis 😔😔 Not sure how this will effect Croft yet !!! Don't suppose I've done bad when you consider they told me I would need Dialysis in February !! Looks like sh1t is about to get real but to be honest I'm tired of feeling like rubbish and having no energy ! Hopefully I will feel better when I get the dialysis sorted . 2 points behind Spooks motorsport in the championship so it's all to play for , just praying I'm well enough to race !!! Thanks for the support guys .

That little Abarth is 100% awesome. What a great car.
I had a kidney stone a few years ago. Having a kidney stone is really painful. I cut of the top of my middle finger a long time ago and I can tell you a kidney stone is much worse. But once removed all should be back to normal. Not sure why you need to feel guilty about that. You can't pass them on....as far as I know.
Are you able to do dialysis at home. I was reading about someone that had a machine at home. No idea about availability and costs. At the end of the day dialysis at home or hospital...both are sh#t...depth might vary a bit.
All the very best!!

Nothing to say but best of luck, and hope Mrs T makes a speedy recovery as well.
I would mention the thriving organ trade here but fear that a) it would be in bad taste and b) by the time PHLPost got it to the airport, we're looking at a box full of dust.
So I won't mention it and just stick with my first sentiments.
Best wishes.

Thanks guys , feel guilty because the only reason she had the stone removed it to make the kidney suitable for donation to me 😔😔😔 Yes we are hopefully getting a dialysis machine at home but I have to go through 6 weeks of training at hospital first !! 4 hours 3 days a week us not going to be easy 😢😢
