Thanks all for the comments! Another update! Found myself a Japanese Roll cage from James (jamesie) a member with another Gen 1 Celica on this forum. It's from a Ta22 but the rear legs are removeable so I'm just going to get new rear legs made for it. It came with some cool Japanese decals! One is Shonan Bakusozoku which is a Japanese Anime about a biker gang and the other is from a Bosozoku magazine.

Well JapFest came and we made it there fine, unlike that poor Supra owner! Sad sight seeing that sat in the bushes on the way in. It was pretty chilly with the bitter wind but plenty to see, although I did miss Combe so hopefully JapDay will be like the old JapFest was. The track time was horrible to be honest, really didn't enjoy it. I put myself into the novice class just because I didn't want to hold up any of the hardcore track guys but still the track etiquette was terrible, after getting used to well organised air field and track days going out there on track with people overtaking anywhere they liked and even one overtaking and one undertaking at the same time it was just plain scary at times. Definitely not doing public track time again, I'll save it for a hill climb or gymkhana. Anyways it was a good show overall and we enjoyed it. Here's some pics from the day. Oh and a couple of pics from an open day we went to at the Wheel Specialist Bournemouth.

More picture whoring. Attended JapDay at Castle Combe with my club and I ended up winning 'Car Of The Show'! Very surprised but very pleased also! It was a brilliant day, it was like the old Japfest at Combe before It got too busy. Won a decent sized trophy and a goody bag! Next show was Players Classic at the wonderful Goodwood. Always a lovely day out there and the quality of cars is very high. Even got papped by SpeedHunters! Not really spent much money on bits recently apart from winning a pair of wheels. Riverside 109's Won them for £67 haha gotta love a Japanese Auction Bargain! I'm going to re lip them to 8.5" wide and make them look as much like my other pair of Work Equip Spirit 11's as I can. As I can't find another pair at the moment. Also I've been wanting my roll cage to be red for ages now so I bought some vinyl and wrapped it! Came out great! Kept the original decals too. Just need to get the rear bars made up for it now. Oh and a guy on Instagram (@keithmeasures) drew this for me which I absolutely love!

I bought some more old Equip centre caps to make them look like my Equip sprit 11's as much as possible. I have been looking for another pair for about a year now and I just can't find another pair so I've been making these similar designed Riversides look like them. Pretty similar eh! Close enough! Haha Went for a drive to Poole, the sky was really cool that evening! Had the artwork printed into a 3ft sticker! Some company working for Shell UK took some video of my car at Beaulieu at the Simply Japanese event there. Hopefully it's not too cheesy!

Had a slight leak on my rocker cover gasket so whipped it off and fixed it. Check out how bloody clean it is in there! 40 year old engine! I was shocked! Test fitting the wheels on the car to see if my guesstimate on lip sizes were going to work. Then it as tyre mounting day! Ordered some slightly wider and taller tyres as the rear wheels were 7.5" and now are 8.5". 195/60/14 Advan A048. Such sexy tyres. And here's them fitted! They actually fit perfectly! Very happy with the tyre size! Went to the 'Japanese Performance' show at Stoneleigh Park. Really cool event being indoors! Ended up winning 'Best Toyota'! Very surprised and very happy! Now I'd finished the journey of building up those Riversides to look like my Equips, guess what I found! BLOODY TYPICAL! So I bought them anyways, couldn't turn them down really as they are so hard to find. So I'll be re lipping these at some point too!

wow....wonderful work...car looks awesome. JP Thanking you Sir! it just keeps getting better. nice work man!!! Thanks man! Appreciate it! I think that's going to be it for a while now though. The gearbox will probably come off after JAE at some point for a rebuild as some of the bearings are sounding noisy.

Feel free to offer silly amounts at any time! Thank you! Looked good at JAE, shame about the duff weather on Saturday. Thanks man, Thursday and Friday were great though! I had to leave on Saturday so didn't bother me too much apart from the soggy drive home! Good times were had! So many cool people to chat cars with all weekend!
