Well with a heavy heart I'm saying goodbye to my trusty old Volvo! I bought the car back in January as a work barge, doing 1000 motorway miles a week in it. As a lot of you on here probably know, these cars are so comfortable over long distances and the engine barely breaks into a sweat. About a month ago the MAF sensor failed so I took her off the road, she will drive fine without it plugged in but coughs and splutters if the sensor is reattached. I have several other cars that I use and no longer doing the motorway mileage so I think it's time I move her on. The previous owner had fitted a dump valve, aftermarket air filter and removed the rear box. Can be loud on idle but sounds amazing when you boot it and will even pop a flame on the over run! Apart from the MAF issue, the engine is lovely. Smooth with no funny noises or smoke and uses no oil or water between checks. I have been really on top of the oil changes so that is still a nice golden colour, I also flushed out the antifreeze and replaced the thermostat so absolutely no issues with overheating / cold running. Suspension is still compliant and comfortable, brakes are fine and no problem with the gearbox. Clutch doesn't slip but can squeak if ridden. 99% of the time if driven normally you will never hear this noise. A few marks and scrapes dotted around the body as expected for the age and the interior door cards on the drivers door and rear passenger have come away. 10 Mins with some spray glue would probably sort this. The driver side electric window control has failed on the button which lowers the passenger front window. You can do all the windows up and down fine individually just not from the main control on the driver side. The bonnet has also been spaced up at the rear by one of the previous owners and I have fitted a boost gauge inside the car (mostly for keeping an eye on things but also because I had it laying round the garage and it's a bit of fun) I think that covers most things, TAX ran out at the start of the month and is SORN but MOT until 5th Jan 2016 so still a long time left on that. I don't have much paperwork just the V5, MOT certificate is also MIA but I will print out the government status request showing it is all legit. Mileage is 158876 which is nothing for one of these to be honest. I've had a couple in the past that were way past 200K. I'm putting this up for £250, it would break my heart to scrap it and really can't be dealing with ebay! I'm hoping someone on here can give her a good home and a bit of TLC. This is a driving car which when TAX'd would be a fully road legal so bit of a bargain really, I just need the space back that she's taking up. Any questions about it just fire away. Pics below.
