Could try right clicking on the download link and then "save file as..." or some similar such wording should let you save the file.

Thanks Hotwire, I found it on my phone via iTunes store. My laptop is a Chromebook. Mind you, searching for BBC podcasts on a Mac the other day had the same result, the link kept opening as a media file rather than downloading. It seems that the moment you hover over the link it's to an mp3 for dowload but then quickly becomes a file path instead with a longer address.
