1997 Rover 825 Sterling Auto
180K miles, Halifax, £400ono
Listing this on behalf of my Grandad, he recently bought the car as a trade in from Hatfields Jaguar dealer but a change of circumstances means it is now up for sale. The previous lady owner had owned the car since 1998.
The car drives well, the V6 and auto box are super smooth but there is a slight blow on the exhaust. Full leather interior and lashings of wood, typical Rover. Being a Sterling this car is top spec, heated seats, electric windows all round, front and rear fogs, cruise control and central locking.
The interior is in excellent condition, it does not reflect the age or mileage of the car at all. The rear seats appear unused and there is no wear to the leather on the front seats. The dash has lifted slightly around the dials and I believe that this is a common problem with Rover 800s.
Externally, the car has a tow bar, I haven't checked the electrics to it. There's two small areas of body attention required on both rear arches, as pictured and a couple of marks here and there, a scuff on the front bumper can be seen in one of the photos. I believe there is also a chip in the windscreen, it is not cracked so could be filled? The car is very clean underneath and the MOT history reveals it has had welding to a rear seat belt mount in the past.
There is some service history with the car and the original handbooks.
