I could be wrong but I'm sure these had the 1.4 8v in them which is a fantastic little engine, really torquey and zip along. The 16v is excellent too, I had a 1.2 16v in this guide and put 30-40k miles on it back and forth to Scotland from Wales with no issues whatsoever, great little cars these, streets ahead of the fiesta of the same age and I'm a ford man!!!

X14XE - one of the very early ones. (The 1.2 16v is the Suzuki chain drive engine - this is Vauxhall's own engine which was carried over into the Corsa C before it was replaced by the 1.4 version of the Suzuki motor.) In a Corsa shell it can certainly move rather briskly.
What's the mileage on it?
The biggest issue with the Corsa B is tinworm, most of them are in need of welding by now. Sills, rear suspension mounts, front lower crossmembers - near where the tie rods connect, front chassis rails - those are the usual points. Also there is the usual weak spot on the B pillar - most of the 3 doors crack just there. What is this one like in terms of bodywork?
I love these. A few months ago I had a 95 1.4, good spec with the rare C14SE engine in it - 47k on it and the lady who had it gave up driving. I struggled to get £200 for it which brassed me off no end. A couple of years ago you'd have sold the engine alone for more. Mind you it was a 5 door and they don't sell as well as the 3 doors.

Hello mate, If you ever want a quick and easy resale on this please let me know, been after a purple one for a while. As it was what I always wanted when I was 17! I'm local to you as well, (Bedminster) cheers!
