Selling this beautiful Toyota Granvia, 1996, low mileage with just 76000 miles on the clock. It's in fantastic condition and a credit to former keepers.
This van is based on the Toyota Hiace, however it is the Japanese market only MPV version, fitted with a powerful 3 Litre Turbo Diesel Engine mated to a very smooth automatic gearbox with overdrive. It also has lots more soundproofing than a Hiace making for a very smooth quiet comfortable driving van, perfect for motorway use but being automatic it is a doddle to drive around town too. The interior seats move around in various combinations and will fold flat. These vans have a reputation of being thirsty, however I've been quite happy with fuel consumption from 32mpg at best and 27mpg at worst.
It's very highly specced for a 1996 vehicle, electric front windows, electric mirrors that also retract, electric drivers seat, central locking, adjustable steering wheel, power steering, factory fitted parking sensors, good stereo with lots of speakers single cd player, automatic headlights, aircon needs a re-gas.
I bought this Granvia in October last year with the intention of making a camper for the coming summer, however 6 months on and i haven't started this project and with lots of other projects on the go i have been told to move it on. I bought this van as I have a Hiace van for work that has been bulletproof since buying it 5 years ago. Toyota vans are awesome, they don't have the following that the 'cool' VW vans do but in my opinion they are far superior. Compare this to a similar age VW and you are getting so much more for your money.
I serviced the van when i picked it up and had the local garage replace the cambelt for peace of mind. I used good quality oil as i do for all my vehicles and replaced the antifreeze. The engine runs beautifully, it doesn't smoke or make any strange noises. A new battery means it's a very reliable starter, I had the alternator fully rebuilt too. MOT expires October 2016
The Granvia will come with the alloys in picture 1, the steel wheels are winter tyres from my work van. Unfortunately a crazy driver smashed the drivers mirror through the drivers window, i replaced the window and mirror but the mirror is a slightly different shade of grey. Please remember it's 20 years old and there is the odd ding and blemish but nothing of any concern.
You are bidding to buy not to come and waste my time with stories. Low feedback bidders please contact me first. Van located in Hythe Kent but can also be collected from Dover, cash on collection preferred. The van is advertised elsewhere.
