Trouble is the metalflake gunmetal grey sinks when it dries which leaves it looking black. Meh. Sort that later. Needs better anchors. Bashbashbash boltboltbolt... Clank! Done. Rear discs.

Then I painted the beam black because it looks curse word in blue. Ok so... I suppose I should list all the mods done: Dropped front spindles Beam adjusters on the front (can drop the suspension almost onto the ground at the front if I like) Garret turbo has been rebuilt using carbon shaft seals to stop it sucking oil into the intake when the throttle was closed. Engine spec is all up there somewhere^^^ Roof chopped by, oh, I dunno... A few inches till it "looked right" Rear screen was swapped for an oval rear clip. Ragtop retained. Quarter lights retained. Doors and quarters lengthened to cover where the running boards would have been. Rear wheels banded and smoothed Front wheels narrowed and smoothed and fitted with the skinniest tyres I could find Framehead extended by 12" to push the front wheels forward Discs brakes all round Porsche 944 master cylinder with flipped outputs to bias the brakes to the rear Daft wooden keg as a fuel tank Con rods for headlight brackets Your wife's jazzjuice all over the passenger seat Interior is sod all. It's two curse word seats and a steering wheel. It's gash as hell. Huge thanks and masses of credit to Owen at Mavern Industries, Mikey D'P!key (cannot BELIEVE autocorrect swapped p!key for "Traveller" - it's his sodding nickname, I HATE censorship), Rob Judge of RNJ Motorsport and Paul Weeding of LVH Engines & Restos for various things. Updates will follow with the current resto. As I said, body is off at the moment having a massive chassis restoration as I found that with a little digging my chassis was basically made of orange powder bonded together with paint. Had a massive headache with it, bought a replacement chassis that looked solid but turned out to have more holes than a teabag (the bloke says he didn't know and I believe him, we reached an amicable resolution). Current state of affairs is I have no money to do anything with it, so am doing my best with what I have. I have a "chassis" (read: Half a spine with frame horns and sod all else) that I am repairing and a donor chassis (read: Half a spine with framehorns and sod all else) and some curse word repro floorpans that will last me about 10 minutes before they need replacing again, and two rotten frameheads that have had more work than Jordan's hoo-hoos and look twice as gash that I am trying to make a good one out of. Watch this space. Right now I'm in a "sit in the corner and cry" phase of the resto. Does anyone wanna donate a pair of OR quality floor pans to me? Or better yet a complete chassis?

So... You asked for a video of her running... That's her, no boost, driving her to my wedding (wanted to get there alive!!). And... Well... This is what prompted the chassis resto... At 15 seconds... That bang... And then my comment... "Nose dive under breaking". It was a BIG old clank into the tarmac. So... Lets have a loot what happened... Bully's SPECIAL priiiiiiize... Ah, nuts. That wants looking at...

Seek and destroy any rot... Floors off... Bashbashbash chopchopchoppychop... What's that plate hiding? Bashbashbash... Orange powder. Get that out... Sweepsweepsweep... Hmm, these bits look a bit crusty... Lost my rag. Got sick of messing about... Chopchopchopchopchop... There. Now I can start rebuilding it. Starting with lots and lots of choppychoppybashybashybuzzyweldy on the frame head. And that is where I am up to. For now.

I really don't want to like this thing.... Bu looking at the amount of work, thinking and finishing you have put into it.......... Winner !! Well done and congrats. Thanks I don't want to like it either. In fact. I don't. I hate it right now. It might even come up for sale if she carries on giving me the a*rsehole.

That's awesome.... Building a fugitive with my son, we had decided to go for more of a rod look with the wheels (not the all terrains on it) I thought it needed big on the back, and thought 10", but thought it would need 5" or something on the front to look balanced. But I'm wrong..... your wheels look spot on, the rest does too btw :-) John Aye, cheers. Careful of those front brakes though. And turning. if you use it offroad, skinnies on the front all the way especially in the mud.

That really is a bit of a rotter! Good job you can separate the nice body off that and re-do it all. Great build though, I do enjoy a good Volksrod.
