1991 BMW E34 525i Sport

Just bought an e34 in diamond black with black leather.









It has full history and every MOT certificate but is up in the miles a little (188K)

don't worry the msport badges and mudlfaps will be removed

I haven't seen the car in the flesh yet as I'm out of the country till the end of the year but i have bought some new bits and pieces for it:

smoked Rear lights, Indicators, fogs and side repeaters:









I bought pressed numberplates plates for it as the rear one is wonky

Also needed a new rear ashtray





Then i bought an M5 rear panel for between the lights - sourced from classic Autowerks





And a USA front numberplate delete as I'm working in the states





Next plans are to fit my BBS RZ412 wheels which were an option for E34 and E32 between 90 and 91 but at over 2k a set back then were not too popular.



The wheels were refurbished by voodoo motorsport about a year ago and i never fitted them to my e36

Will need to buy some coilovers next and give it a detail.

I keep my xr2 and my e36 in the unit next door to mine with a mate who is a detailer. 2000sq ft units.

My unit is the complete opposite to this one, dirty and dark unfortunately. I accidentally filled mine with cars ha ha


Tail pipes do need sorting out i agree

Nice looking car in a great colour combo. Rare to see a narrow grille pre-facelift Sport too. I'll look forward to the updates.

Fitted some nice bits but need to sort ride height out next and the steering has some play so got to see if that can be adjusted.







The rear msport badge is glued on

Lovely car and great colour. Love the narrow grill too and lack of chrome. "Diamond schwartz" is a great colour once you keep it polished of course. You've done this up incredibly tastefully too. So many people ruin them with the wrong wheels. Everything you've done so far including those wheels were always part of the plan when I briefly owned an E34. Still have the steering wheel in my wardrobe. At least now I can see what would have happened if I didn't go back to an E30.

Ive thought about selling it but I'm not sure if i want to. Thinking of buying a house but have too many cars at the moment and could perhaps do with the extra cash. Although they are going up in value all the time. That e36 is a very rare fjordgrau. ive only seen 3 in the few years ive had mine

Were those BBS wheels available from BMW as a factory option then? I didn't know that, but then my BMW knowledge is rather scant! BMW certainly did a bewildering array of very expensive and high quality wheels. What size are they? - They look huge!

The E36 is a really lovely looking thing.

This is the email the previous owner had from bbs



Aparently they were an option in 1990 and 1991

They are 8.5 wide et13 17s with 215/45/17 tyres

Once lowered it will look fine i think

ahh 215's would do it, I'd get 235's, nice chunky 90's low sidewall sits lovely on an 8".

Well i sold the e36 minus the throwing stars

And had the e34 detailed which basically confirmed to me i need to paint the whole car really. Oh well will get it done later in the year:
