I forgot to say... the -40mm gti front springs probably lowered my car more than 40mm as they would be -40mm from gti ride height where as my car was standard diesel ride height. From this.... to this Cheers steve.

your cars ride height there is pretty much spot on IMO. with mine i could go maybe 10mm higher. The engine currently in mine is only a little 1.1 and judging by its size is not going to be very heavy! (as demonstrated by the amount of air under the bonnet! )

Yep I can confirm that -30mm Apex springs lowered mine a lot more than 30mm! The springs were actually half the (unfitted) length of the originals. I reckon it's a 50-60mm drop in reality. I still have the standard shocks and had the rear lowered by a chap known on PSA forums. It instantly felt more sporty when driving for the first time, but it was a very comfortable cruiser beforehand. It certainly looks a lot better photo sharecertificity.com

Mmm oily. Shockingly poor misfire when i tried to restart the pug, fired up instantly fist time but the second, oh dear... maybe the little engine is a bit more worn out than i gave it credit for!

I doubt it's knackered mate, what's the mileage? It sounds like some components related to choke/cold start are causing the problems... If you clean up the gearbox and monitor, the leak may not be as bad as it first appears

well, house moving is not a fun activity! and it has eaten all of my money, so if anybody wants this elt me know> I may still get cance to keep it, and do my plans... (currently maybe a 1.4i and a turbo!) but just thought i would put this out there. with the house move eaten everything, the x1/9 needing a few bits and the mondeo's arches needing some attention better try and get some funds back in..... i rea;;y like the little thing tho! humpf.
