Some very nice chap sent me this picture of his tat auction win in action. 5 315mm Metro Hub Caps ... now gracing his daughters car: Anyone got any use out of their tat wins, past or present?

that is BRILLIANT!
to be fair, this year had some of the most obscure donations I've ever seen
I now need a picture of violet reading her 'pimp my ride' book featuring quotes from westwood himself!!
-or maybe a bonfire made of morris marina 1.3 haynes manuals!!!

I didn't buy anything this year, but 3 years ago I bought an Infinity 12" subwoofer, and it's still going strong in the boot of my Merc!
I seem to recall bidding on that kids bicycle at some point and I have no idea why?! Must've been the cider

I'll post a video at some point when that repeat-returning WASP SILENCER (apt. Given the location we camp!) is fitted to the Cherokee I've recently bought. And yes, it's a 4 litre.

My runs up the hill after winning the "close the show" run and Ian letting me do a couple more.
2 secs slower than my supercharged mx5 last year. Not surpring as it was moist this year, the mini is on normal road tyres, the brakes are aweful and if only owned it a week so not that dialled into it.

Anyone got any use out of their tat wins, past or present? My 2017 Tat purchase (Large Piston with signs of a light seize) is going to get a quick buzz in the lathe to flatten the dome top so it sits flat on my work bench - then it's going to provide additional ashtray capacity in the winter when I'm going to crack on with the Mongrel My 2016 Tat purchase was an S13 Alloy rad (not what I took home cos the tat one actually helped a fellow RR'r get home from RRG16, drive around for a year and then up the hill again at RRG17) what I got in part exchange was the buggered rad out of the car but it's pretty close to what I need so I'll build mounts for it and buy a new alloy one) I haz not been to any previous tat auctions due to show work needing to be done - but last two years it's been pretty much the second best thing at the Gathering that I have got to see..... (Of course the Hill activity is the best but the Tat Auction comes a close second)

In 2015 I won tickets to the Autosport show in the January of the following year. Unfortunately the guy who donated them left the publication and took months to respond to my messages. He left tickets on the gate, but they had no knowledge of him giving them away, but the staff in the office at the NEC honoured them after I produced the messages I'd sent. Not the bet of starts, but seeing Petter Solberg jump his WRX car through a flaming hoop to the Top Gun theme made up for the hassle. Also won assorted books and bits over the years. Nothing took my fancy this year sadly.

Ahh Mr Hayward the perpetual scammer
Who got the Spoiler Alert this year?
Unfortunately a lack of funds and voice stopped me making my regular ~£30 of random items this year. Next year I should have to make up for it

Sorry but I think that Spoiler Alert has a proper home now. It was measured up for a Nissan Prairie and purchased. Even I got outbid.

How much did the mystery 80s alloy wheel do and was the mystery divulged! Our wee team donated it along with Hugh Hefner's (alleged) home movie camera! The Tat auction is a scream, poor Kev though - someone needs to donate a PA system for him.
