Always enjoy your write ups grizz! (And pics naturally) Glad the countrymen took good care of ya Thank you mate, and yes, they certainly did. Ah, Jungle Pam...... P. I am sure many people were in love with her. Superb, Grizz - just brilliant. Love your enthusiasm and the detail you capture. I’ve done quite a few US and Canada road trips and am always enthralled by every aspect of the culture. Excellent work and thanks so much for sharing and taking the time to post so much. :-) Hi Stu, Thank you for taking the time to reply. I guess I do look at stuff a bit differently at times, and if I can get people to do the same, then it's a good thing. Another amazing trip Rian. very jealous :-) Thanks mate. It certainly was. And the people in the US make it all come together. I am indeed fortunate and blessed to have and share what I do. And then of course there is Meeting Kelly, a second time. And her remembering me, made me feel pretty special. She really put the smiles my face.

So, every now and then we meet people in life, who touch our lives in different ways. Just look around yourself. I have met so many and they are all different. Of course you bunch of old men (and perverts) are mostly waiting for another one of these very special people. It is hard to try and convince anyone when I post the pics up below, that Kelly is an awesome, intelligent and generous hostess or waiter in a restaurant that serves great food, and is a very regular spot for many local and not so local people. When I walked into Ethyls and she saw me, she instantly recognised me (maybe in Dennis' company) and gave a squeal of joy or recognition and charged me and gave Dennis and I a really good welcome hug. You only have to look at my face........ I have not had such a stupid grin on my face in over a year, well, possibly since the last time I saw her. And she is a tiny little sparrow of a woman. Perfectly proportioned, topped of with a glorious smile. She seemed genuinely pleased to see me. And I prompted her to pose for a few pics for the Internet Forums. So these are for all of you guys. And that includes the gang who contributed so generously earlier in the year to my Charity Cycle ride. I have. It and will not forget your generosity. Thanks again. Thinking of what you guys are thinking........ (maybe a bigger tip?) Of course Dennis got a turn too...... lucky guy. And while we were eating, I asked Dennis to take a pic of Kelly on the barstool, standing behind me, making me look good, maybe over my shoulder....... You better look carefully... Yes, I am sitting on a tall barstool, and the sparrow is sitting on my shoulders..... My head felt all warm too. And my tongue just hung out. Then I finished my chicken wings, paid up and we left for the airport. Where Dennis dropped me off. ............ The End. Errrmmm, well, almost. But I guess you will all just walk away now, you, have seen the star attraction. Hope it was worth the wait.

Worth the wait indeed. Thanks mate, And yes, she was worth the wait for me too. She knows her business and her business is knowing people. ^^^ what he said! ... Thinking of what you guys are thinking........ (maybe a bigger tip?) Exactly, a bigger tiP - with a p. That´s what I thought, really. Everything else is big enough! Just kidding. Glad she takes it with a smile - or maybe she doesn´t know what we here have written about her. After all she is a wife and mother IIRC? There certainly are 'murican (and other) women who would have reacted differently... Or her husband... How tall is she? I am 6' so she is half my size....... I am certain that whoever she is with, will need to be able to deal with the attention she gets. Simple really. Epic ending to an epic thread, thanks so much for sharing it Grizz. I reckon they'd make a good pair of ear defenders! 👍🏻 An absolute pleasure mate. These trips are more fun than one person deserves to have alone. I am just done with the final trim of all the shrubs and hedges around my place. Had a quick instant coffee, checked the interwebs and now headed out to Rochester town to people watch for a while and fill my car for the week ahead. Last few photos to be posted later today or this evening. Thanks to all those of you who have taken the time to post up a reply. I do appreciate it.

After Dennis dropped me off, I sat in a restaurant in the airport building, the guy running it gave me permission to sit in there, comfortably when I asked him.. More nice people. Later checked through security (more friendly people) and waited to board. Watched Military personal get first boarding rights, which pleases my heart immensely Onto the plane...... Take off, and rising higher and higher away from Missouri was really quite heart wrenching for me. Weird that I felt so sad as if I had lost a member of my family. Mississippi River below us in the sunset. Landed in Chicago, raced to get onto my international flight, which was FULL Landed in London11.00 the next day, and eventually got home at 3pm The cats were both happy. Harley all over everything, and into the case while I unpacked. Ginger Whinger, Dukey also kept close to me since I got back. They may have missed me. First night back, trying to write up the trip report....... Wednesday it was back to work and this week four days spent in rraining at Heathrow. With a black tie event. Not the same as shorts and flip flops JETLAG did kick my butt, but at least it was better than last year. Lastly, I just want to say a massive thank you to every person who touched my life this year, from Debbie and Dennis right through to all of you following and replying to this story. Maybe, if all goes well, and I have a job next year...... Who knows.

I always tend to copy the thread links of threads I like and share them on other forums. Fortunately, Retro Rides you can click on the link and then see the whole thread. I like sharing widely.

From Garage Journal Quoted below by way of explanation as you what happened when the Challenger broke down with me on Highway 25 Arkansas. Thank you Dennis and Steve. You guys are very generous in your accolades and friendships. They are massively appreciated and humble me for certain. Glad the car breakdown has been explained and corrected. Love the view driving it, and would love to enjoy it again. (Or the Hellcat despite 17mpg on a good day) Another photo opportunity. In other news, now that I am back on track, working and living life normally.

Fantastic. Look forward to the next trip (although not as much as you I bet)
Best sentiment: Everyone needs a Dennis. Although in my mind, everyone should strive to be a Dennis.

I also enjoyed reading about your road trip. Looking forward to the next one! Were you at a black tie event or is this the first photo of the next James Bond?

Fantastic. Look forward to the next trip (although not as much as you I bet) Best sentiment: Everyone needs a Dennis. Although in my mind, everyone should strive to be a Dennis. Thank you. A next trip depends on whether I am employed at the time, and whether I can get time off at work during a period that suits me. Strive to be a Dennis, hope to get a Kelly!! Here's to the next roadtrip Grizz Now that would be pretty cool. Dennis is an awesome human, more so than I can describe. As has been said about him, "He never meets a stranger" And he is just so generous, not just materially but also emotionally. I also enjoyed reading about your road trip. Looking forward to the next one! Were you at a black tie event or is this the first photo of the next James Bond? Black tie even for work, mamanged to come in third place, which really is the second loser.... But I do like a little poetic license, so tend to bend the rules just a bit. James Bond in flip flops......?? See the MI6 building..... I thought I would just add this pic in here too. Lovely sentiment by PM from a guy that has been registered on another forum since 2009 and never posted, yet took the time to send a PM. And Prozac got a new MOT Pass today, no advisories and a comment from the tester that it was mechanically a very clean car.

Coincidence! I'm just watching the NASCAR from Dover Delaware. 👍🏻 Cool stuff. I had a guy in Nevada send me a message that he was watching NASCAR truck racing and saw the No63 truck do well, and then realised it was the Mittler Bros truck which is one of the trucks Dennis preps. Small world.
