Lovely motor, in a great colour combo. Not too keen on those vents in the front wings, they need to be put back to OEM!
These are currently at the bottom end of the market, and no doubt values will start appreciating very soon.
I had one that Geordie bought off me a couple of years ago, and was previously owned by an AMG race engineer. He swore by these engine and gearboxes, and they are said to be some of the most robust units ever used in a Merc. Bullet-proof mechanicals. GLWS.
You’d feel invincible driving to work in that, casually overtaking everything in your way
Ha, I do at times. Shame that my route is usually heavy traffic (involves the London M25) so it's generally cruising along at engine tickover lol. it's nice that it surprises a lot of modern cars. Golf R drivers are my favourite They see an old Merc, think that they have a Q car, but then Ah Touche as their jaw drops
Luckily no one wants it As I have just bought some new wheels that will be delivered later in the week will update with pics once they're on.
Look good, but you need to get rid of those silly wings! And I'd put the original monoblocks back on to keep it OEM, although these wheels do look the b0llocks as well.
Thanks for the replies chaps
I don't actually mind the wings now tbh I think they work with the aftermarket wheels, where as before the car looked standard but with strange vents lol. I could have had my orignal wheels refurbed and had new wings fitted for the money these cost me, but all other W210 E55s out there look the same! They're not really valuable classics yet imo, so having a non-standard looking one isn't so bad
