Hey you lot, blimin' long time!! I'm living in Cape Town these days and have just got myself a new retro to help with my new business, this super cute little rice burning bakkie 😀. It's a 1991 Nissan Champ but has been treated to the older Datsun style round lamps Very unusual canopy, makes it look a bit like a Dastun GX Coupe Plans are to keep it pretty much as is, some business signwriting and an L18 conversion. Hope you approve.😎

Didn't know these exist, very cool! That canopy for the bed brings a smile to my face.

Ooh nice. I like the “coupe” deck lid. If it was lowered and you squint it could look like an extended 240z

Great little bakkie! There were thousands of these made in SA and competed with the Ford Bantam and VW Caddy bakkies and later on the Opel Corsa's. Very rugged rwd bits of fun!

Yay, a datto 1200 ute/sunny tora/champ whatever you feel like calling them.
A lot over here have had their engines/transmissions swapped for CA18 and SR20's. Just a slight increase in weight, but a significant jump in power.

Spent Christmas in joburg and saw loads of these scooting around. How is the water issue in CT now? Hi. Day zero has been pushed back to July sometime so all of the clever water saving by the residents have paid divends. Now we hold thumbs fur heavy winter rains
