This truck is, basically, rust being held together by bits of metal. This will be one hell of a save once you have this back on the road. The most impressive thing is that you are not doing it in a mega equipped workshop but outdoors, forming panels by hand, improvising, creating and thinking about ways around the obvious issues like lack of repair panels!! Totally brilliant.

The floor panels on the drivers side are for a mini I pick it up from a autjumble for £5 and cut out so I had the grooves already in also managed to get to new old stock front panels of eBay so a bit of a result there .

Yes the outside front panels were the headlights go just looking at the yellow truck they have put full Windows in the sides rather than the opening ones this must be because you carnt get new rubbers for the quarter glass?

Quite possibly, although opening ones might have been a cost option when the trucks were new. I’d think without being able to open them the cab would be pretty hot on a summer’s day with all that glass.

A couple more jobs done over the last couple of evenings this front panel needed a couple of repairs but not to bad as can be seen before ![](http://img.retro-rides.org/i/v/bobfg30/eb6b8105b46f.jpg) after ![](http://img.retro-rides.org/i/v/bobfg30/956fb5b92f67.jpg) also got the floor and wheel arch welded just needs grinding back and cleaning up to make good ![](http://img.retro-rides.org/i/v/bobfg30/c8f51ae00693.jpg) also got started on this peace that goes round the front although it looks bad there is plenty of good steel to weld to so shouldn't take to long to fix once these few bits are back together the structure of the cab should be strong enough to take it off then hopefully the shassis can go to the sand blasters that should save a bit of time.
