Not sure if I should start another thread to say thank you..... But I will, because we had a great weekend! Thanks to HoTWire for all your work, you looked harassed when we saw you earlier Thanks to bstardchild for babysitting us on the hillclimb after walking the hill I was quite nervous about driving it.... but after the third run we had a chat and sorted some plans to get up there quicker next time Thanks to everyone who helped, we saw a lot of people working and all were smiling (or maybe it was a grimace to get rid of us ) Glad we experienced the tat auction, and managed to get a haynes manual at twice it’s value (with some additional reading thrown in ) I think it’s the future..... “now on bbc.... drunk bargain hunt” A brilliant weekend, thoroughly enjoyed it and looking forward to next year.... even if you all aren’t for a little while John and Tom

John, was great to see you and Tom going up the hill Echoing your sentiments, thank you to all the organisers of the event for keeping it running slick and smooth even with incidents on the hill. Roll on the Weekender and next Gathering

Is it too soon for me to complain about the camping? I mean... I wasn't actually there... but I'm certain it was not up to my high standards anyway.

All I saw was huge smiles - if I see those gewy (front of house) and myself have done a good job and we can look forward to the next event Just as a small side conversation - last year we did 513 runs up the hill This year we lost 30 mins plus due to a slight off so no chance we could hit that number again Afternoon boys and girls (and the morning session people that boosted the numbers in the afternoon) you smashed it out of the curse word park 550 runs up the hill in total - you absolute diamonds - proper made my day at the end when shelsley gave me the final numbers Love you all - big sweaty hugs

Went for the first time (at Shelsley Walsh anyway... last RR show I attended was at Mallory Park!), and had a fantastic day. Loads of variety both on the field and on the track, weather held up, queue for the bogs wasn't massive. My MX5 now proudly wears an RR sticker in its windscreen (apologies to the man in the merchandise shop for paying for a £2 item with a £20 note and causing befuddlement with the change!)
All in all a pretty big win. Bravo, ladies and gents. Bravo indeed.

Great show again and thanks for the massive effort that must go into putting it on. It was good to be on the hill again, the SIMCA coupe managed quite a few runs in spite of clutch problems.

My first ever Gathering - but not the last.
Thanks to Hotwire for the excellent accomodation. Thanks to Ian (bstardchild) for granting me access to the hill - superb experience!
Thanks to everyone who helped make the event run, and thanks to Tash for her hard work and also for enjoying going up the hill in my car twice - the smile on her face made it twice as much fun.
Looking forward to doing it again.

Fantastic event as always. Chilled atmosphere and great selection of cars. Loved taking the Civic up the hill and will be building another car ready for next year

Another terrific day and big thanks (as ever) to all involved. I'm always made very welcome and that personal touch means a lot. Made it back to the deepest depths of Cornwall by about 10.30 last night and the E30 was like a Swiss watch all weekend, apart from a clutch slip on one hill run. Just wanted to apologise to those that asked for a passenger ride up the hill. It wasn't me just being a miserable tight (possibly a fitting description any other time!) but there was a lot of camera gear in and around the passenger seat as we were filming. Sorry. Anyway, good to see so many epic cars and people. Roll on 2019!

My concern over giving passenger rides is that those asking are fully aware of the potential risks of honing up a hill side.

Awesome weekend and thanks for organizing. All went well for us, camping was great as always. We got there about 2.30ish and thought we were going to struggle for space as we had 20 cars but there was loads of space. Maybe people must of turned up later this year or just done the Saturday.
Mr happy the shaved head security man was hard work most of saturday but all the others were great and we had a good laugh with them (we also fed them friday).
There was quite a lot of space in the club stands areas - did quite a few stands not turn up?
Anyways a great time had by all, met new people, brought a few new faces with us (they all said they are coming back), plus this is the first year in 5 that we have managed not to destroy a gazebo with the weather or get soaked so that's a bonus.

Absolutely fantastic show as always. Thank you to all the RRG and Shelsley staff who worked their backsides off to put on the best show of the year.
As usual, I've gone away happy, slightly tired and full of inspiration.

Yep what everyone else said, again a brilliant weekend that from the outside seemed to run like clockwork, good idea to let the campers drive through the paddock early doors to get on the show field, at least I can say the Allegro has gone up the hill now even if it was only a few yards. The tat auction again was great and the HPA in the bar gets better every year! I hope the driver of the Nissan was ok, I saw it in the paddock and it looked a right old mess. Oh yes I nearly forgot, there was also this-
