That photo was taken at the 2011 World Final at Northampton (Brafield) which Paul won, and I did the PA commentary on. A night I will never forget.

Bradley is actually the fourth generation of Harrisons - Wilf, father of Willie, raced briefly in the 50s. (It does seem to me sometimes that the longer a family has been involved in the F1s, the better they are treated, but maybe that's just me.)

As a total Oval rookie, i raced this Stag V6 Classic Modified at Swaffham Raceway last year... came last in all three races and was scared most of the time (Oval's are short, intense and crowded ! ) but had one of the most fun day's Motorsport for a long time - loved it , rented the car off a Chap called Buster ,he was a top bloke as were his mates who didnt hesitate to get stuck in and help when i brought the car home needing work - after a 1st race crash.
Had a brilliant time - would sure like to do it again .

February is well worth a trip you can do speedweek at Daytona inc the 500 plus sprint cars dirt Nationals. Charlotte for NASCAR race plus most of the teams are based there you can visit the team shops and NASCAR hall of fame. Bristol is not to far great nascar short track. Goggle world of outlaw sprint car and all star circuit of champions both run top flight sprint car racing. Ohio speedweek is mega nine nights of race nine tracks done it twice. Knoxville Nationals hope to go this year. Also PA speedweek on the plan for next year!

Thanks Pid363! I quite fancy going to Charlotte as the All Star is around my birthday in May, flights and hotels aren’t too badly priced either and the Hall of Fame is a must. 👍

Ive recently found out about Baarlo Autospeedway in Holland. At 1km long it was the longest, fastest proper stockcar track of all, and closed in the mid 90's. Theres a fair few videos of the track on youtube, we've had stockcars, so lets have another formula that the oval tracks arnt usually big enough for.

Been here in the early 80's to watch the F1 Stockcar World Long Track Championship - a whole coachload of us from the UK

Just been watching the Food City 500 from Bristol Motor Speedway, The Last Great Colosseum!

Kyle Busch got shunted on the lap 3 and then fought his way back to win, fending off his brother to do it, 15 seconds a lap short oval, proper racing. 😎

Yes it was the 1997 London open and my only wimbo appearance and my night never went to plan either



We did manage with the help of a couple of sledgehammers get it back out for the DD only to be kicked off for not having a silencer . I didn't have brakes or much of a floor either . it was a bit tender
