Thank you John for filling in some more of the blanks.
I know the organizers are busy and appreciate that, the events they have put on previously, all of the info for the venue and The Gathering all together in the first posting (if a venue is used regularly there should be a "venues page" listing all the different venues and there info so all can see it) so no one misses anything and doesn't go because the info was not there when they could of gone if they had seen everything at the same time.
The more people you get to the venue in general benefits the gathering the sponsors the participants and the venue in the long run.
This forum is the only Social Media for a lot and not Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or any of the other outlets that are on the WWW Organizers please consider that if you represent Retro Rides then Retro Rids should be first and the other platforms linked to Retro Rides.
I'm not having ago at anyone in particular there is just so little info put out missed about what is a very big deal event.
Rant over

Can I purchase a ticket for car entry on the Sunday, would love to get Agent Thor there. Because there is NO WAY I've got room for camping equipment in the car!!! I’m only a punter too, but yes, you need to turn up early to get on a club stand I believe. But you can turn up for the day and park on a club stand. It is only a 1 day show really, on the Sunday but with the camping it becomes a weekend thing I know a little of your pain, as considering the size of the Fug we have no room for stuff either (but at least the availability to mount stuff to the frame)

All the info currently available for The Gathering is in the title of this thread.
I promised Weekend tickets would be on sale on 28th Feb and I'd hoped to get the whole website live too. Our designer had important family matters to attend to so the designers are later than we'd planned, but I'm okay with that. Info will be up in March on the website, club and day tickets will be available then. Track booking becomes available in late June/July.
Right now, for your diary : 18th August at Shelsley Walsh. Entry tickets are £10 in advance or £15 on the gate.
We have sold 80% camping tickets in 24 hours. However I now expect a slow down and I'm happy to give people the chance to get tickets.
As for communication, people who previously bough Gathering weekend tickets got an email, I posted in this forum and I posted in the Facebook event. That is all so far. Will include tickets being available in the RR email which I hope to get out either today or Sunday (depending on how long my journey back from Goodwood today takes).
Thanks for the enthusiasm for the events, we'll get all the details out there soon.

For us, they are our favourite events, many people seem to agree as they keep growing, and I’m sure that makes it even harder to manage... but if it was run different it would be a different show and then we might not enjoy it as much. You’ll be fine, and assuming the Corsair is ready I’m fairly confident you’d get a place on the hill if you wanted The hill runs as morning or afternoon sessions and requesting a place won’t occur for a while yet

We return again to the historic Shelsley Walsh on Sunday 18th August to bring our unique blend of retro cars, hillclimb insanity, show cars, daily drivers, weekend warriors and all the truly eclectic stuff that makes up the world renowned Retro Rides Gathering. Full details in due course, we're already deep into our guest car negotiations, with Hillclimb Monsters returning to help us out. For the time being your weekend ticket is available here : store.retro-rides.org/products/retro-rides-gathering-2019-weekend-ticketWe've reduced the camping capacity back down after experimenting with extending it last year as a way to meet our increased cost, sadly this has meant we've had to chuck a fiver on the ticket price, we will be improving facilities, so hopefully not too much of a pill to swallow. Last year was a massive year for us and we look forward to repeating this bigger and better in 2019. Ticket bought! Can I bring the dog?!

Not moaning, just letting you know, incase you didn't beforehand, that the general public knew (potentially) before previous attendees

The Corsair will not be in Attendance this Year but there is a good chance the ST will.

How does one pay for some tickets if they do not have pay pal or a credit card?

The only tickets available this far in advance are the camping tickets. Retro rides events are planned, organised, setup and run by the same small team. As previously stated, the day tickets are not sold until closer to the event. Fear not regarding getting one of those tickets as already stated they are pretty much unlimited. Any information regarding the hill climb will be disclosed in another thread but this will likely not occur until after the Weekender which is in may. Hope this clears things up.

Ticket bought! Can I bring the dog?! Thanks for buying a ticket. No dogs at Shelsley Walsh I'm afraid. (can bring them to our Goodwood event though) That’s a bonus that dogs are allowed at goodwood, is that a definite confirmation? No rush on an answer. Thanks

How does one pay for some tickets if they do not have pay pal or a credit card? How do you buy anything online?? Debit cards are accepted too. My best suggestion is if you don't have a debit, credit or PayPal is to get a friend that does to buy tickets and give them cash.

the shop only shows the £40 pound tickers where do I get the Advance tickets from??? Apologies, misunderstood. I see you've been answered. To explain a bit more, our designer had some real life things to deal with, so designs are later than planned, however we had given a ticket sale date for weekend tickets to be made available, so we put them live. Everything else will arrive and be available this month.
