For sale due to finding a W140 600 SEL, is my CL215 CL500 Coupe. I've had several over the years mainly in silver and most of them had fairly major issues. This one, however, is spot on mechanically and in a rare colour combination.
Special Order Almandine Black Metallic (Code 182) with Anthracite Leather (Code 261). Fully loaded with almost every extra available at the time, and one of the earliest models registered in the UK.

Mechanically spot on. Starts first turn of the key. Idles in the correct manner, with the normal cold start procedure working as it should. There are no leaks and there is no overheating. Temperature gets to here it should, and sits there. Oil & Filter change when I got the car. The oil leak mentioned on MOT will most likely be residue dripped from when the Oil & Filter was changed, as it certainly does not drop any oil on the ground. 10k miles to the next service.
The gearbox is as smooth as silk, as it should be on a car of this calibre. No untoward sounds.
Suspension is tight and solid. The Airmatic rises and falls on both settings, and the ABC mode engages which stiffens up the ride. The car handles remarkably well, and hits corners quicker than you would expect it to! Slight knocking from one of rear ARB links, but not enough to get a mention on the current MOT.
Brakes are fine and stop this mammoth of a car with no problem, no shuddering and no binding. Does not pull to the left or right, and stops straight and true. These have four-pot pistons / calipers at the front, so they really do brake well.
Tyres are all matching 245 / 40 / 19 with near-new tread all round.
Generally in very good condition for the year, with no visible rust or rot - rear on these cars. There are a few minor scuffs on the bumpers. Stone chips at the front of the car. Marks and blemishes as to be expected for the age. Would benefit from an afternoon of detailing to bring out the proper shine. Looks stunning and the colour really brings out its lines. In my opinion, the side profile rear three-quarter / C pillar is the best looking part of this car. It looks epic being a pillar-less coupe.
The interior is also in very good order, with no rips or tears. A few marks here and there. The perforated leather has worn the years well, and this is a testament to the high-grade leather used in the CL models. All areas are covered in leather. This includes the dashboard, door cars, centre arm rest and even the rear parcel shelf is covered in leather! The roof is the Alcantara Suede head lining, which feels great and is a rare option. The glove box catch is broken and held in place with a wedge of paper.
Most things work as they and there are currently no warning lights not he dashboard. Parktronic parking sensors are temperamental (seems to be a faulty sensor). The blower fan is a bit noisy, but blows air fine. A/C could do with a re-gas. Command System is currently displaying in German, but the radio is working fine.
This car has been maintained to a high standard - there are over £14k in Bills & Receipts from the previous owner, and I have just spent £750 on it.
