Permission to ask a really basic question...what glue should I be using to re-glue my bits of dashboard back together as I carry out my RHD conversion?
I have tried Humbrol Poly Cement, Loctite Super glue and even UHU. None have allowed the parts to bond back together 🤔 Any suggestions would be very welcome.

Some of the WPL parts are a weird plastic that doesn’t like gluing. I tend to plastic weld my parts like this with a hot knife. You can do it with any blunt-ish soldering iron though. Just don’t be tempted to use a cable tie as filler rod, use some sprue or offcut if you need filler rod.

Made a quick montage video to bring us up to speed on the wrecker, clip of it running as a chassis cab is in the middle of the video if you wanted to just watch that. Few new pics right at the end.

JJRC Q65 could indeed be built up like yours, would be a fun build too!

That’s the one I said about, it’s not properly 1/10, it’s like you say about 1/12. Uses the same running gear as the RTR WPL stuff so easy to swap wheels etc to get the right look

Still no trucks, but my B1 tyres and half my shiney wheels have come. I will probably going with four of these, the dually rear wheel set up but with the inner wheel machined off. This will give me a wider, and less massively negatively offset wheel. I also have a set of MN90 wheels and tyres comming that have much rounder shoulders. I'm hoping that the outer wheel diameter is close to the WPL, so that I can cut off the larger diameter rear bead seat and glue it to the back of a metal wheel. I'll have to see when they get here.

Hi folks, I have had all my upgrade bits arrive this morning so am hoping to make some progress with my C44 KM build. As you may remember, the front axle supplied with the kit was warped and wouldn't allow the internals to run freely despite various adjustments. I therefore decided to buy upgrade axles from Bangood '2PCS-Titanium-Color-Metal-Front-Rear-Bridge-Axle-Set-For-WPL-HengLong-1-16-Military-Truck-RC-Car' which run beautifully and are even ready greased. As happy as a happy person could be, I attempted to mount them to my WPL upgraded metal 'Traction Link Base' (the black carrier with the 'E' shape bit in the middle). Things have not gone well! Basically the holes do not line up properly and are 0.5-1mm out. Do I: 1. Just file the holes out a bit? 2. Cut the Link Base and then Araldite (or similar) a metal bridge to it to make it wider (will still require the bottom holes to be enlarged) 3. Have a little cry and put the new axles and possible the rest of it in the bin? In other news the body work is looking ok with the painted trayback section. Here it is minus axles sporting the 'slammed look' having been hit with a 1:12 scale lowering stick.

There looks like a reasonable amount of "meat" on those axle mounts - get out your needle files is my vote
