diff just to warn you that the winch won't fit with the metal bumper because there isn't enough clearance between it and the front grill panel - although to be honest I think it would be difficult with the plastic one! Thanks , don’t know if my garden trail will need a winch yet , but I keep changing it about a bit .

Got to use the c34 a few times this weekend and it’s good but I am not impressed with the tyres . They have a more road type tread than the c24 and don’t grip the rock hill on my garden course . I swapped the tyres off one of my c24s and it’s a different thing completely , now climbs the rocks rather than spinning the wheels at the bottom of the hill .

I had a suspicion about the stock tyres, they just didn't look as good, which is why I got a couple of sets of B series tyres ordered a few days after the trucks. They are already here of course.

I had one of them there birthdays So I asked for things to delight my childish self Flysky GT3C Radio gear HobbyWing 1080 dedicated crawler ESC I paired these with some things i'd bought previously A pair of 7.4v, 2400Mah Lipo batteries And a charger to, well, charge them with Can we safely say, what with the metal drivetrain that my WPL is no longer toy grade? I had a go in the garden, I should really make a course The ESC is amazing, you can program everything. Having a drag brake whilst crawling has transformed her

@low Standards That looks properly serious kit I must resist temptation - given that mine isn't even running yet!

I just took a punt on these guys, they are a bit bigger than GI Joe/Action force size, so I hoped they might scale a bit better against the C34'S. I liked that they are in ordinary clothes but I think they might be too big. Anybody got instructions for an RBR-C winch?

C44 update... I have been adding up the cost of my various purchases...in summary it has cost a lot! A surprising amount of 'lot' I have had it running backwards and forwards and it seems pretty quick in high gear. I have had a few issues with it changing between high and low but am hoping that it just needs time to bed in. I have also found that the sound card doesn't always work but when it does it is LOUD! Not sure what petrol engine they based it on. I had to extend the wires from the motor to reach the ESC. I also had to cut bits of the engine cover under the bonnet to get the ESC to fit in there once all the various plugs were located on their respective pins. I'm not sure if this is because I have a V3 ESC. I will try a fabricated a replacement cover or just create a tray like I have seen on the MN99. Anyway enough writing - here are a couple of pics!

markbognor I have ordered the RBR-C winch for mine because it is a lower profile and the mounts look to be adjustable. My metal bumper has holes (currently underneath) that I am hoping will allow the winch to bolt down ok when I turn it the other way up. The action figures look to be a good size - where did you get them from because I want a 'civilian' clothed figure driving mine!

I've had a board powered up and my sound seems to fault sometimes, and just go click click click etc, it doesnt seem to like it if the first action is steering rather than throttle. A power off seems to fix it though. There are buttons labelled volume on the handsets I have. They are second hand, off ebay, they are from the TV series Primeval - these guys came as a job lot but there were a few others and some female characters from different sellers too.

The Petrol sound board Is the Chevrolet blazer from spintires mudrunner. There is a fix for the sound being intermittent, it’s on the FAQ page of the WPL-Rc.com

had a go today got quite a lot done, instructions not right transposing front leaf spring hangers front to back scratching my head wondering if i'd put leaf springs on front axle wrong way round. had to trim an unused screw boss out of centre of pickup bed as bed could not seat without the 2mm that the used bosses fitted into chassis dimples, the centre one is directly above the rear suspension so there is no dimple to fit the boss into, trying to get tge asewat moulding out of cab to fit screens to b nob avail yet, my cab and centre axle were assembled no idea why. bought the km kit so got metal upgrades and a bigger motor but building it standard to begin, must be 30 years asince i did any modelling but really enjoying this. when i started today only the 3 axles were built and attached to leaf springs at front but run out of shanked no 6 screws that provide all the pivots for the rear suspension which arrived about 10 days ago. oh the wheel weights grrrrr wheel weight springs nightmare dropped two couldnt see them, missus found them and held the wheel whilst i held spring in forceps and squeezed in with long nosed pliers but done now, and heres a pic before i put away pending dinner.

@markbogner that winch looks great and the underside shot looks like there is plenty of adjustment in the spacing of the bolts so fingers crossed it will go on to the C44 👍

I tried to take the weights back off to fit onto my alloy wheels (they don't fit) and they are even trickier to remove!
