Biggest changes I can see on the V3 system is the addition of braking system and external ESC support, I think the audio is the same and works the same. I really rate it for what it costs, does the job in the 6x6

Got mine today, got to say I got the rtr JJRC q60, and it's really surprising out the box, cant wait to start the upgrades. Need to find a tow hitch as I want the trailer kit first, and then metal bumpers. Typically came with Yodel, who I work for, on my day off so had to wait in as by the time I phoned the depot he was already en route

Typically came with Yodel, who I work for, on my day off so had to wait in as by the time I phoned the depot he was already en route I used this hitch kit, makes the trailer look proper and is a nice proper swivel hitch that looks the part. He’s also on a lot of the FB WPL pages so he’s a proper part of the community, chatted with him a bit, he’s a decent guy. rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F303433650015

First off, seeing as a few people have now gotten these little trucks, I've renamed the thread and we can all post build progress here and see how everyone is getting on (if y'all want to that is) Second, I started to get a bit annoyed at the plastic rear wings on the Q60, they aren't right and I just couldn't get that out of my head. So off they came and I've started making up these metal curved ones which are more like the prototype.

Your bonnet looks like mine, I thought I'd try remove the war decals with a tiny bit of nail varnish remover, didnt touch the decal but were the paint into a patinated finish, so I did other strategic areas as well.

Mine will get painted eventually, I can’t understand the need to screen print or whatever the heck it is the guff on them, how many actual military trucks have ‘TRANSPORTER’ painted on the bonnet 😆

Little bit of mudding today. Broke the rear axle, so she was dragging herself round like a limp dog. Best order some metal parts now 👌

My first C44 kit is almost completely built. Just a few more bits to paint and waiting on the controller to arrive before I can get it running and driving And now a second C44 kit has arrived My plans are that the blue Toyota will become an offroad beater toy, with a few extra mods just because , and the white one will remain mostly standard, but with a new paintjob and some small custom touches. Might make a trailer for the white one to tow the blue beater if I get that far involved with these! I was thinking of making a build thread for these two?

I was thinking of making a build thread for these two? Yes please - I want one of those, but it has to have the station wagon body-style - do they do those ? I want it to match my next project

I want it to match my next project I need to catch up with your project sometime! WPL do the C34KM, available from their webstore in the metal kit WPL C34KMDoesn't seem as popular or has gained as much enthusiasm as the C44 trayback version I've got. I just prefer the longer wheelbase pickup style! I'll start taking lots of pics as I begin to build the second kit. I've had to order a few extra M3 and M2.5 screws and some taps to prep some of the plastic parts for screwing together, otherwise I only needed a no.1 phillips screwdriver and 5.5mm spanner to assemble everything so far.

Loving the work-worn look on the blue truck. Looks fab! Either start a thread or post the pics in here, I don’t mind! Been working on the Q60 a bit, will post them up in a min.

Got a ‘care package’ in the post from a chap on one of the WPL Facebook groups so I best get busy cutting things off. For these- With the wings in final ‘fit’, there was one last job on the body. Filed the ‘chrome’ grille pressing flat.. Vertical grille bars. Isn’t enough, should be 5 Slots but it was fiddly enough. Primed Green.. Painted the screen surround too, just need to do the centre post in body colour.

Biggest difference is the one from WPL will come with the winch again for free for a short period of time and its less likely to arrive having been trod on. There shouldn’t be any difference in the kit in theory.
