Must've been a tough life for the early settlers and convicts. A service on the Holden has to make do in the absence of the 2 money pits. Nice to get my hands mucky.

It's hot as balls. Don't come to Queensland. We're starting to dream of Tasmania... Is that even considered to be part of Australia? About as much as New Zealand is to the outside world.

Well that’s just my luck. Flew down to Melbourne yesterday for the F1 Grand Prix and was actually even more looking forward to watching the Supercars rather than the overhyped procession.
Not to be. Harumph.

Theres lots of nice rust free motors out there, is it worth looking at shipping anything back when you come home? assuming you do come home!

Theres lots of nice rust free motors out there, is it worth looking at shipping anything back when you come home? assuming you do come home! I have thought about that. Best idea would be to bring 2 back with 1 to sell so that mine is cost free. Saw a lovely Rover P6 V8 for £1500 on FB Marketplace. Only problem is I’m living in an apartment right now with nowhere to keep it. If we decided to extend beyond the 2 years then I think we’ll look at moving into a small house probably a bit closer to the wife’s office so hopefully cheaper than in Neutral Bay.

All this lock down malarkey is driving me round the twist. Not been out for any walks as every curse word else seems to be out now. Don't get me wrong we've got a lovely view from the apartment but the 4 walls are feeling quite small. Making me miss my garage and having a faff. Left the Madam and Mistress up on blocks whilst the Celica GT got sold on. Oh and thanks to you all for your various builds for keeping me sane. Some serious skills out there.

Completely our pleasure but I have a challenge for you - Aus & NZ was a huge export market for Jowett Cars - lots of different models shipped some in knockdown component form - many still exist with very active owners clubs in both countries - so once the lockdown has ceased - my challenge to you is that you need you need to go find 1 or 2 or several and post the pics in this very thread

Might have to see if there's any classic car shows on locally.

Well it's 1 year exactly since we touched down in Australia and less than a year until our visas are up. Assuming they don't get extended that is. Been eating healthily whilst this lock down shenanigans is on but it's beer and a curry tonight. Cheers everyone 🍻
