I have an astra mk3 1992 gls model In pretty much mint condition no rust anywhere and only one small dent below a rear light cluster which I may repair The interior is mint The car flew through its mot and has only covered 26,000 miles since new Unfortunately the family we purchased the car from after the death of the owner have been unable to find any history The car is very near a concours contender The car is automatic and drives superbly I’ve still got a few minor jobs to do but really it’s not my thing What I’m asking for is a sensible opinion of what to price the car at It just needs a loving home hopefully a Vauxhall enthusiast and as said minor fettling would see a car worthy of classic car shows ...it definitely won’t be going on eBay!!! Cheers Danny

Hi Dan,
Based on these few pics it looks to be what you're claiming it to be, (it seems to be missing a trim piece on the n/s front wing in one photo but not the other?)
If this was detailed within an inch of its life and de-dented, I'd see it on with KGF1 priced at £2½K to £3K, the auto box is against you price-wise. If it had been the GSi model presented in this condition with this mileage and with only the original owner on the V5 I'd have seen it as a £10-£12K car. A sensible price to move it on quickly - £1,950.00.
The prices I'm spouting are 2019 prices, who knows what impact Apocalypse will have on retro car prices? (It's not going to be a positive one!)

Thanks wing trim to go back on this week I have detailed the paintwork it is stunning all over The very small dent is an easy repair but may be worth a professional job Your figure is not far off what I was thinking Once I’ve done the small bits I will advertise it in car and classic Thanks for your reply

If you click on the link above it should give you the option to 'see original item'?

Seems tidy enough , but the one I have is by far the best one available anywhere It just doesn’t do it for me but for a Vauxhall enthusiast it’s a must , I did contemplate contacting a couple of classic dealers but I think I’ll offer it myself as I think it’ll find its home in the condition it’s in

That said it was easily worth more than the £600.00 opening bid. It's just an example of how sluggish I fear you'll find the market.
