1989 Saab 9000 CDI 2.0 petrol 4dr saloon, just hit 100k miles. Car drives suburb and remains in good original condition, not been altered or doctored in any way.
Car is standard as far as I can tell apart from an upgraded headunit. Has all the luxuries for a high spec car of its day - even heated seats!
If I am honest, the car needs a bit more then I can manage just now, but can see potential as it’ll make someone a great car once it’s had work done. Needs some rusted areas tidied up, this is mainly surface rust along the bottom edges of the doors, luckily the areas around the windscreen and roof remains remarkably solid in comparison. The exhaust needs the short centre piece welded on (part available for £22) but can’t find anyone local willing to weld it into place as its hardly essential, nor am I an essential worker. One of the rear wheel bearings needs replaced too as you can hear a humming noise. Lastly, the headlining has been stapled up at some point, though I’ve taken off some of them off and they don't seem to leave any marks. This is the only negative inside, the seats are in great condition and seriously comfortable.
FSH, all stamped up until there was no room left in the booklet. Serviced 8-9 months ago with new rotor arm and distributer cap. New oil, filter and air filter (a difficult area to access) aswell.
Original front and rear number plates, rear window sticker, keyring and dealer book pack.
Currently on a classic car policy for £138 a year, garaged + limited mileage of 3000 miles.
MOT’d to August 2020 and comes with a thick pile of history and 2 keys. Not many of this age left on the roads, particularly in such original condition, and only going up in value.
I think the brutal honesty might but some people off, but its a good practical classic car, by no means concourse, it has been used and enjoyed, but a good base to make a great example.
If the car doesnt sell I will complete the work it needs (most likely after lockdown) and keep for the car a while more as cant see it needing anything else for sometime to come. The engines sweet as a nut and they are only increasing in value after all.
Any serious interest please PM for info/pics etc.
