EXTERIOR
Finished in factory optional Porsche Arctic Silver Metallic, (Code L3AB), the paintwork is representative of a carefully stored 16,472 mile example. The uniform paintwork presents beautifully and barely a mark can be detected, even upon close scrutiny. A spotlessly clean and untouched underside will delight originality seekers searching for an unspoilt example. The UV-resistant hood in optional Metropole Blue is perfect in both operation and condition, and the rear screen is clear with only very faint haze. The colour combination between the hood and the body looks stunning. All trim sections and badges are undamaged and the supplying Porsche dealer tax disc holder is displayed in the windscreen. A desirable Boxster S edition in a condition far superior to the usual offerings, one of the best low mileage examples without question.
INTERIOR
Typical Porsche quality is to be expected in this well-appointed sports car cabin space. The Graphite Grey full leather upholstery (Code X1), an expensive option when new has remained in beautifully clean condition with virtually no wear visible. The carpets are spotless having been protected from new by tailored Porsche over mats, and the steering wheel displays natural prominent veins, a feature soon lost on higher mileage examples. Beautifully clean dual cargo areas reflect the minimal use and the factory build sticker to the bonnet underside and Mobil 1 sticker in the rear compartment further emphasise this cars originality. Effortless folding of the electric hood transforms this every day roadster into something truly special, with endless scope for open top enjoyment and exhilaration.
ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
Fitted with the robust flat six Porsche Boxer Engine, namesake to the Boxster, this powerplant requires little introduction. Controlled by the Motronic ME7.2 engine management system, Porsche Engineers developed 248hp from the 3,179cc unit to allow 0-62mph in just 5.9 seconds with a top speed of 161mph! The punchy raw sound delivered from the standard exhaust system is guaranteed to set the pulse racing. The 6-speed manual transmission is short and incredibly direct with immediacy just as you would expect from a performance Porsche.
WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
The original 17in twist spoke alloy wheels with Porsche centre crests are in immaculate order, and fitted with the factory original Michelin Pilot SX tyres all round, 205/50 ZR17 and 255/40 ZR17 front and rear respectively. Whilst showing ample tread and highly desirable for originality purposes, renewal prior to regular use is advised due to the age of the tyres. The ABS assisted braking system incorporates 4-Wheel ventilated and cross-drilled discs with 4-piston fixed monobloc callipers. The correct Boxster S specification Porsche Red painted callipers are clearly visible through the spokes and hint towards the racing pedigree infused within the cars genes.
HISTORY FILE
Registered new on 5th June 2001 by Porsche Main Dealers, Five Oak St. Martins in Guernsey, this Boxster S has covered an incredibly low 16,472 miles from new. Despite the low mileage the original service book displays eight stamped entries with the first fours visits to the supplying Porsche Main Dealers and the following four by the same Porsche marque specialist. The last service was carried out at 13,422 miles. The black Porsche leather wallet contains all handbooks, guides and dealership point of sale material as well as security code cards and two Porsche remote keys. Such low mileage Boxster S examples are entering collector territory and are widely becoming appreciated across all buying groups. Be quick!
