Lowered two inches allround
Flipped rear beam
Le Mans green paintwork
Mondeo st wheels
Fiesta RS seats
Car dash with white dials
Three point harnesses chequered rear loading bay
Bought as a standard van and modified with the help of son George
Thanks to Rick Beazer and all the fraud owners club boys
And thanks to my son George for the body prep work

I keep coming back and looking at this. It’s the contemporary of the red Anglia van I never bought at the end of the 70’s with Lotus steels, a 1500GT engine and Classic struts and discs. And probably a Karobes slip on head rest.

Drove past a 51 plate today, was red not white... but still a bit rusty!

(And it has a picnic table on the roof)

This van was was in my head to build as a reflection on my 80s ford escort ownership , I owned many mk1s mk2s and a few vans mk1 to mk4
I never got the Le Mans green mk1 Mexico or twin cam powered mk1 I always wanted
I owned a few but not the green one I wanted!
I kind of wanted to create a late van with a nod to the early vans and cars
So that explains the colour me and my lad chose
And the twin cam mk1 badge on the rear door
Obviously not a lotus but the later ford zetec version now fitted

Some suspension and brake upgrades to do now
