Hi, brought this one a while back as a project, but need to realease some funds and space for an on-going project.
Mk 3 Toyota Supra- very cool cars, and well ahead of their time! They seem to be getting rarer and going up in value... so a great investment for the future...
This one is an import spec and came in from Japan.
Lots of unusal features that you don't get over here- its a stronger shell, its only a 2L but is a twin-turbo! Rear lights are different- giving it a cleaner, sleeker look.....
The car is fitted with a nice set of alloys- in perfect condition and great tyres- these realy suit the car in my opinion.
Being an inport the shell is very solid, and doesnt look to have been welded or repaired anywhere in the past.
I have to mention the colour- its down as black on the v5 but its the most increadible colour in the sunlight! Its black or dark blue from a distance and then up close as the light hits it its a bright green metalic and takes you by suprise!!
Interior is like new- just needs a quick hoover out. The seats show no signs of wear at all- doorcards are fantastic! Even has its original factory 'SUPRA' floor over-mats in! Digital dash as standard, electric mirrors, windows, seats etc.... well ahead of its time! The radio/ head unit is missing I have to point out- and will need a replacement.
Mechanicaly, the engine is still in the car and fitted, but the head was removed by previous owner and sent off to a machine shop- and 'disapeared' from what I gather. You will need to source a head, but the turbos, manifolds, pipework and ancillaries, all seem to be here in the boot.
The bodywork is rock solid with no rust- The exterior does have signs of wear etc as to be expected. There are various small scratches and the odd minor dent here and there. A bit of laquar peel on the bumpers in areas and odd marks etc, although nothing drastic, and personaly I would use as is- but if you are building as a concourtse car then obviously you would be intending on a re-spray anyway.
The bootlid was fitted with a spoiler at some point- but this has been removed, leaving four mounting holes behind. They have been sealed up- but in my opinion it wants another spoiler re-instating, or just skim the holes with filler and blow in the bootlid after.
The car is an auto, and showing 80,000 ish on the clock- I expect genuine miles, and its been off the road for a good few years.
All in all a decent project, and a rare import Supra, deserves some attention, and needs to be back on the road! I am just struggling for space at the moment and wish I had some spare time on my hands to do it for myself.
Looking for 4K, its located in Hertfordshire, and I can arrange delivery at cost if need be,
Thanks, Matt
