	Afternoon, I'm in the process of testing out some ideas for a resto project and I have an idea of painting bare metal in a clear coat. Question is what is the best one in a spray form (aerosol preferably)? Areas to be covered are small but I'm keen to highlight these prominent areas so something that achieves a nice consistent finish would be great. The base metal ( will be both stainless and MS) is in good condition and the area to be worked will be prepped with wire wool (hopefully to provide an adequate key) and tack ragged only! All suggestions greatfully received. Thanks

	Bees wax. Possibly with a slight stain in it if needed. Not in an aerosol though. Or thinking about it it might be, some kind of furniture polish?

	Hadn't thought of that, might give it a whirl on a scrap piece of metal. Thanks! Reminds of when Henry and Sam get an enamel sign, furniture polish is quite often used as the only cleaner!

	Halfords or someone do a metal lacquer specially for the job (for diamond cut wheels) I think
