Bosch Ke-Jet warm-up regulator, repairable?

Hi chaps I have a nice old Audi 100 Avant C3, Bosch Ke-Jet petrol injection. (Bought from RR hi Adam if you read this 👍)
The warm-up regulator is not working, it takes ages to warm up, like 5 minutes idling. It is not driveable before that, getting fuel starvation if you accelerate.
On flea bay there are rebuild kits for £30, a replacement regulator is quite expensive.
I'm familiar with reconditioning pumps on ships etc, but never worked on Bosch petrol injection before...
The car has an old-school Haynes manual which says how to check the entire fuel system, but you need to buy various adaptor hoses and gauges.
Would you say it's worth just rebuiding it with new diaphragms and seals, for £30 and a days work?
This Audi is going to get spruced up, my 320D is going I cant afford to run 2 cars. Hoping for a cheap and quick solution. optimistic I know 😛

I'd repair it, cheaper than a 2nd one which might be in need of a rebuild itself.

If the regulator is kaput it normally would create a rich mixture when the engine is warm and OK when cold. For £30 I would rebuild but make sure this is the problem first.

The WUR is the same for K-Jet and KE-Jet. So the guide above will be fine.
I believe Ant Anstead did a refurb' and mod on a WUR to make it adjustable on WD, think it was a Porsche 924 (?)

Jerry, are you sure it's the WUR? Have you made sure fuel starvation is the issue, and not flooding? I would check first if the auxiliary air valve opens, you should be able to see though it when it engine is cold and it should slowly close during warm-up. Also worth checking the thermostat if warm-up takes long, it may not close properly. If you PB me your email address I can send you a very helpful book in PDF.
