A girl at work mentioned that it was her parents 40th wedding anniversary and she was putting a paper scrapbook of the pair together,i then thought.... hmmmmmm (yeah, just like that!) so in a quick rush (because i didn't realise how many months in advance she was planning) i shot up the yard and threw this together, took about 45 mins, the metal was thin, the welder up too high, but.... i had to do it quickly! (then later realised it's not til December!!!!! Plonker!) but anyway....
i cut a few sections up, plus a piece from an oil drum, found some handbrake cable of sorts, 4 washers to show 10 years per ring... a nut n' bolt, and used the disc cutter to put a few words on the 'pages' and on the rear where it's clean metal, i ran the cutter around in a scruffy pattern so it oxidises at a different rate giving a different effect... it's not perfect, but... a genuine scrapbook at least, her dad loves junk like this so in the garden it will go.... happily corroding for a good few years....
