The V70 is smoking from the dipstick again, PVC kit was replaced only last year.
Called the usual Volvo specialists today to book her in for rear shocks etc and asked if they could look in to why its breathing again.
Chap on the phone said the engine is most likely on its last legs (190k with FSH and regular oil changes) I can understand why he's saying that.. However..

It makes sense that over time the engine breathes more and needs a larger diameter hose to compensate for the additional pressure..
So, shall I recommend them to try the above mod (they might not like the suggestions on how to fix cars) or do I trust /pay them to diagnose a suspected worn engine?
I'd like to see this car out for a few years/miles yet!
