The brake disc catalogue is really good! The one I'm interested in is missing though !!! Volvo V50 ... Thanks! I've added the V50 in, although it's not great as I can't find information on specifically which models had which disc (only that the T5 had 300mm and an optional 320mm, and all AWD models had 320mm ones). I'd wager it's the same as the S40 Mk2, but they do sometimes have bigger brakes for estate models. I'll say that it's as accurate as I've been able to find in the various brake disc catalogues I've found. Definitely worth double checking with the parts compatibility stuff on other sites before buying. It's also worth noting that there's some variation in some of the dimensions between different brake disc manufacturers (usually in things like overall height, and by less than 1mm). Either the data they give is different to what they manufacture, or stuff like surface coatings add thickness that's different to competitors. Where I've found variation that's more than a few tenths I've added a comment

Only just have enough Turbo clearance......I don't think fibre glass burns?? Does it? Glass-fibres are mostly fireproof they melt but do not burn - polyester resin on the other hand..... I’m going to keep telling myself that a lot of this image is photoshop trickery 😂😂

Thank you for all the help on the disc conversion. I will pull apart one side and measure up the disc on it . I had no idea that the disc would be a diffrent PCD to the wheel. News to me that. I have heard of the 406 coupe V6 discs. I have not tried anything yet. 406 coupe are 4x108, which might be the same as the disc PCD. It's tricky though as bolt-on discs tend to be stud-centric so need close fitting holes whereas most hubcentric discs have more clearance on the bolt holes so tend to need redrilling anyway (although if the stars align you could get the back of the hub machined to the right centrebore for the discs, or have a spacer fitted. You're in rarified company with 26mm height though! Here's my draft brake disc catalogue if you want to have a look through. Most of the core information is there, it's stuff like inner face diameter and bolt hole size that's missing, as well as some PCDs. Still a work in progress! I will pull apart the original discs this week and get some measurements. Put the new calipers on too and see what option I have. Thank you for sharing your hard work too. I’m sure it will make life much easier indeed

Here's an interesting option if you want a disc that bolts to the back of the hub. Ford Ranger Mk1 discs come in 274mm diameter 24mm thickness and 25mm height. Their bolt pattern is 6x116 which is completely different, but seeing as you're looking for a ~25mm height disc you could have an adaptor plate laser cut that bolts to the back of your hub, and then bolts to the back of the Ranger disc which would put it pretty much where you want it. Or have it CNC machined so it puts the 1mm offset in the right position to give them 26mm height.

so after I removed all the rear suspensions I cleaned it all up and painted it I new after that it would sit in the back of my van for far to long before I refitted it... so I protected it. when I got round to fitting it. I fitted my new lowering springs and adjustable shocks almost all fitted [/img]

we haven't seen much on the engine for a while. that is mainly because him afraid nit I plumb it all in before the prop-shaft is made it'll all need to come back out. but a few little things. got hold of a crankcase breather to run a catch can. ill get most of that plumbed in. got my turbo exhaust housing back too after snapping a stud and trying.....trying to drill it out badly. ALL THESE THINGS ARE READY TO GO ON>>>>>>bolting things on now!!

In fact I have loads of nee and used parts to bolt on. Just trying to juggle it around work and family life. And I bad at getting the updates done more regularly But I’ll keep them coming Thanks for following this build.

Nice! Disappointingly I'll miss the gathering this year with it being later. Tavarish is a YouTuber who did a couple of episodes on an esprit, and then parked it for 6 months, it'll reappear at some point I'm sure.

One for the wedge fans. its still winking and alive. I have her on the trailer just so when I strip suspension components off I can still keep it mobile. and....depending if I make the prop myself or not its ready to go.
