Umm - normally my internet skills are quite good but I can't find anything.
Running reground cams in my 1.7 puma engined ka, but the clearances are well out (run a shim under bucket arrangement) so it sounds like a diesel at idle and need to adjust this gap out.
I've taken all my measurements and know what I need:
4x 3.15mm by 13.8mm shims - Ford PN 1031056 4x 3.2mm by 13.8mm shims - 1031057 8x 3.39mm by 13.8mm shims - 1031061
I've rung Ford who say they can no longer get them at all, I've searched the internet high and low for both offical ford and anything aftermarket in the 13.8mm flavour and am 100% drawing a blank - anyone any to point me in the right direction?
Thanks in advance!

Yup,
Ford have dried up alot of their stock.
On my Mondeo I could not get wiring harness parts. I gave them the numbers and they gave a leadtime. However, none of them could actually get the parts in.
Having no shims is annoying however.
I'd call up Pumabuild and Pumaspeed as they may have some. I'd possibly not say that you can't get them however, but that's as mainly I worry about suppliers seeing this as a reason to charge whatever they want
I'd also call up EMC Motorsport in Saltely and say that Chas sent you. They do the Pumacup, so they will have spares available.
Can you put two smaller shims together and do them that way?

You could have the thinner ones you need surface ground out of thicker shims you already have.

Thanks for pointers everyone but all draw a blank - I've now ordered from allcarpartsfast.co.uk on my credit card who claim they can get stock in 5 days but I'm not overly hopeful...

Forgot to reply to this, we haven't got any that size either. The other option is to take the head off and get the seats cut/valves refaced to set the gaps.

Have you tried any proper motor bike workshops? Bikes often use solid shims. One I know used to keep a fair selection of various types and even had a surface grinder in case he needed to adjust thicknesses.
Black Dragon Motorcycles is the guy I know. Proper old-school mechanic and engine builder. He likes 50s and 60s American cars as well. Looking him up just now I see he’s moved and semi-retired so he might be harder to track down, though looks like he’s on Facebook......
