I was very aware there was great content getting a bit silo'd in the Video section, whilst it was gradually increasing in traffic when I looked at the analytics I figured it was still best to move in to general.
oh did I say general, I mean Retro Car Chat, to you know give a hint as to what sort of posts should be in here. It is something I've been meaning to do for a fair while (since someone explained that no forum should have a "general" area, it should be about something, which made a lot of sense to me).
I'm sure I'll do more things over the next few weeks, as I try and get all my ducks in a row to attack 2021 with a clearer plan of where we want to be by the end of the year.

It works well for me! I know the forum can get a bit difficult to follow when there are a lot of posts, as the main page moves too fast, but it maybe felt a bit quiet in the general section without the videos in the same section. I think keeping the number of sections to a minimum is a good thing anyway, as it stops the forum getting too convoluted.

I still don’t think the separate ‘question section’ and ‘technical and legal questions’ sections really works. There’s obviously post in each that are in the wrong one, or people post to both and have concurrent threads with differing replies. Neither sees particularly heavy traffic so they’d easily combine I think?

I'm also going to shift Small Torque up in to the Dream section, as I think it could be a great fun section of the forum if it included new releases and questions and stuff (on top of the build threads) and gets reasonable traffic already. I started some of the new sections to take weight out of what was general and to see what worked and what didn't. I'll recombine and see what makes sense.

Small torque is one of the best additions on here......not bias or anything Great work though, evolution of the forum keeps it fresh and alive!

+1 for the new sections. The front page looks less cluttered and there's no "um, is this technical?" type dilly-dallying when posting a question. I think it will also generate more replies to questions with them all in one place.

Fantastic, although it did leave me with a head scratcher earlier when I tried to find my thread! Lol
Lots of decent work going on behind the scenes of this forum, always appreciated!
