So what did Santa give all the boys and girls of Retro Rides?
Me? I got a trickle charger for the dormant 924 and a smaller swivel vice for my little work bench in the new garage. No T25 under the tree so will have to buy my own.

Kids bought me a couple of beanies with L.E.D lamps built in. They're surprisingly good, lot more beam spread than a head torch and not as annoying in the way as head torches always seem to be when you're under a car.

Wifey got seat covers from one of the children and our youngest (15) appears to have acquired a car from friends of the family. Haven't seen it yet. Don't even know what it is. Allegedly it runs and drives but has a few issues, some of which might be serious. We shall see. If nothing else it will be a good learning experience for him.

A set of number and letter punches, a flexible Dremel extension, a half decent rivet gun and some wiper blades.
I also got a scratchcard but that was faulty. Shame.

I didn't get any car related presents and spent most of the day in the garage making stuff for the Herald.
Maybe Covid Christmas wasn't all bad... š¤£

Please let us know how you get on with it - a battery powered rattle gun is on my Xmas Present list from Mrs BC - we don't actually buy each other presents but agree to purchase something post xmas

I now have a DeWalt DCH899, which, while being heavier, is almost unstoppable. It's paid for itself on a few jobs and used on many jobs anyway now. Xmas gifts? I got a scarf, albeit not one for the workshop. But it can keep me warm and possibly looking cool as I arrive to the shows with the window down and sunroof open on a cold day. That's got to count for something right?

Made light work of the wheel bolts on the neighbour's Merc which hasn't moved since the Summer. Has a low torque setting on clockwise so that you don't overtighten when putting bolts back in (ie. the same wheel bolts). Need to keep an eye on the battery though - at the first hint of power dropping off it quickly became less effective. I'll probably invest in a 2nd battery at some point...

Took quite a lot of use for my Kielder gun to get upto full power. Battery lasts a lot longer now too.

Nothing car related. But come new year I may be allowed to bin off our 7 seater in favour of a better, faster, cooler daily. Window shopping as we speak.
