So the year started with plenty of promise
An engine change for our escort van was planned with good pal Rick, luckily that came to fruition up at my pals place in Cambridgeshire in may
But unfortunately every show we booked fell victim to the damned virus and the only one which did go ahead the Ford one at brands hatch ended in disaster for me when I become quite Unwell with kidney stones a few days before
Which ended up with a few days in hospital
Hopefully next year will be better for all of us , fingers crossed!
So what came and went this year
A grey W202 C220 which I didn’t bond with
An absolutely mint mk3 Astra Glsi which my son bought
We fettled it after years of storage then sold that on
George’s red fiesta was also sold as he bought a later car now he’s 17 and learning but Covid has curtailed a test yet
The van got the 130PS zetec conversion
I can’t thank my pal Rick enough a week spent up at his with George joining us at the weekend and it was up and running
Late summer and the C200 was bought for daily duties
And George bought his new daily a more modern but absolutely mint mk6 fiesta, hopefully the boy will pass his test soon with this bloody virus hopefully subsiding soon
Also an escort estate came and went a clean car it’s now with my mate Rick and his son Harry
The mgf was used all summer as being a key worker I was working all the way through the pandemic
The mgf is now tucked away for the winter
Luckily during the summer our great crowd of mates did manage to met up for a weekend at my pals place in Cambs
Finally a not yet retro but great little project
Vauxhall combo arrived here a few weeks back
An mot failure from George’s workplace I’ve taken it on
It will provide daily transport for me, handy for parts chasing and transporting my dog about
I bought the wife a new car this year, I won’t post pics of modern tat!
The C200 merc is going in January I just don’t need it now
I’m sure more cars will arrive next year, I just love saving older stuff
The Escort van is evolving more all the time
And we’re looking forward hopefully to the show season with

So there’s a year gone , challenging times but I hope the new year will bring us all a better one
