2001 escort van rear spring hanger

Any one know where sells the rear spring hanger/box section for a 2001 mk6 escort van tried ebay and had a google search and can't find anywhere any help would be much appreciated

Its pretty limited i do have the ford Microcat system so if you need the part number i can get that . Trouble is Ford don't have that type of stock now so much.

I'm in the same situation as i have a mk6 van with the same issues it will be probably down to fabrication in the end

There's a van in reader's rides, post number 214087, May 2020 by classicandsport. He's made his repairs by the looks of it.

Yeah looks like I'll have to fabricate some up, seems to be getting harder and harder to get any parts for these vans now days 🙄 my local ford are pretty useless unless you want parts for a brand new van!

Yeah i did see the post and messaged the guy, he said he had to fabricate them up so looks like I'll be doing the same 👍🏻

Ford are bad for anything over 10 years old now!

As an example

MkIV Mondeo:

Some Bluetooth harnesses are now NLA. I tried 3 dealers. Those who thought they could get them no longer could

MkIII ST220
Driveshafts
Some engine parts
Some body parts
Other things I'm sure I'll find out

-Many Many things including
-Header tanks, at least for an S1
-Interior panels. This is why many of the parts now command very strong money secondhand. Call it the RS Tax but Supply and Demand is a funny thing. No one makes these anymore as the volumes just aren't viable for the no. of cars left out there.


Working for an OEM whom some will know about here, they class anything as 10 years old as a 'Classic'. After this point, this is when they begin to wind down the stock made. If the demand is there, they'll make it. If not, and it's not justifiable to make it, they won't.

Space is money and rubber items sat on shelves will only be destined for one thing after a while if they are to carry a warranty etc.

Ford have always been curse word for older stuff. We used to buy a pot luck pallet of old stock when I was working recovery in my mid to late teens and at that time it was all Mk4 Escort / Sierra stuff
