We have a Rover 216 convertible for sale
It has been garaged for some five years we are selling this car on behalf of a family friend her husband sadly passed away and this was found in storage
The car is very very tidy but has suffered being locked away for a long period , we have turned the engine by hand but can’t get passed the immobiliser, the garage suffered from a flood a few years ago and whilst everything is dry W e suspect the Ecu may need reprogramming
This is an honest no bull ad for a genuine low mileage car 48,000 miles
It will need trailering away but is a great resto project
The hood is as new and the bodywork is very very good
£500 please no timewasters in this car
We are having to sell it for someone who is obviously very distressed at this time and respect is needed

Been over the car today it is totally rot free and 48,000 miles since new, it will not run I have ignition lights and everything works but will not turnover I may investigate further but open to offers this car needs saving

The body on this car is excellent no rot underneath and it’s a straight honest car
Please as I have said above be respectful the owner lost her husband just two weeks ago please be mindful of this

The car is a RESTO job in the engine side we cannot get it running it hasn’t started for five years

The only bit of rust anywhere is a small patch on the bottom of the passenger door it hasn’t perforated the door

If you have the owners handbook with the cars security code there is a method to by pass the immobiliser by entering the code via turning the key left and right in the door lock.
I'm driving a scruffy one of these daily at the moment and they are much under rated cars, that looks like a nice one.

The immobiliser is working fine it seems
I’m going up to remove the starter motor this weekend
If we get it running it’ll be easier to sell for us

Keep it Dan, you know you want to. Interesting to see the bubble dash in an N reg, mine is the same age but has the old dash so yours must be a really early facelift car, looks like a power top as well. If I didnt already have one it would be really tempting

It’s available to the first person collecting at £300 not a dear car and a great base to build a cracking car
All we ask for is total respect for the deceased owners wife
I had to sit an explain to her Monday how a supposedly genuinely interested people sometimes decide to try and take the proverbial.........not nice when her husband off 30 years has died and your selling off his possessions
