Where's the drift evening? Are we allowed to play out again now? I'm desperate to get mine on track as soon as we're allowed (it's only got an lsd not a welder but I've enough power to overcome that issue) haha It’s Matchams which is Ringood/Bournemouth sort of way. I assume it’s all signed off for legalities otherwise wouldn’t be going ahead? This will be my first time in this car. You’d be fine with an LSD I’m sure. Hmmm only a steady 220 mile from me, probably going to have to pass on that one haha. Buxton is my closest "legal" drift pay n play place. But the Walls scare me I don't want to total it this soon haha

did you sort the wobble? often from rear arms Not yet. Wheel bearing change tomorrow. I’m 99% certain it’s from the front but if it persists then I’ll be searching high and low haha

Soooooo, did the wheel bearing (it was knackered, like all the other stuff I have replaced so did need doing anyways) but the wobble remained! It cannot be the wheel, I just had them balanced! It was the wheel.... I am never going to that tyre place again, what a waste of money!
So, the wobble gone, a bunch of things replaced! Better get the cage, fire extinguisher and passenger harness all bolted in... lovely, all that done! Maybe even the bonnet light-bar for the evening’s drifting! Not a problem.
What a productive weekend! Until.... the starter motor just straight ups and does... WHY!? Why can’t I just enjoy owning and driving this car!?
It’s looking less likely I’ll be making the first event of 2021.

Love this looking really good. Thanks man, it needs a clean and a tidy up but it'll get there.

What a grim job. Removing the starter is probably fine for someone working out of a semi-well-equipped workshop but out of a council garage and modest tool collection, it’s horrible. Not to mention, I think it’s probably still on the 30 year old starter (can’t quite believe my car is that old!) so the bolts are held in by the strength of ten bears. Time is short but maybe, just maybe I’ll get it out and replaced tonight... wish me luck!

Love this! Looks proper cool in the hks colours. Thanks man, I feel like I need to do something else with it though. I saw an E46 which had also done the HKS colours and it was way better than mine haha! I would like to give this a fresh coat of paint and get the vinyl done properly and maybe bigger!

The sheer amount of pigeon wibblepoo was getting too much. Must invest in a car cover and not an old bedsheet...

Freshened up my wheels a touch with these OZ graphics. (No they’re no OZ wheels, sue me). I could tell the difference if it was real or not...wheels look the part...

I picked up a new-to-me backbox for the 36. Where it wears the Huxley Japanese-style kit, it needs a bean can exhaust to fill the bumper and always looked sorta lame with the pea-shooter it had on it.
Tonight I came to the realisation that I am not a fabricator or exhaust builder, devastating news I know! However, it does “look” much better, even if the workman ship on the underside is shoddy, and that’s being kind to myself. It’s just a sleeve and some clamps. I will have a proper system made at some point. I’m not sure I’m going to pass the db limit for Goodwood but it’s not the end of the world.
