I always wonder what happened to the original Bogus from MiniWorld that got stolen. Had a JKD 16v head and 5 speed box. Must’ve been stripped for parts as it was so recognisable. Shame as it was a lovely motor.

Beetlejuice - I bought the Andy Saunders 1750cc engined Mini sometime in the 90's and sold it to a guy in the Bahamas. As far as I know it's still there.

Afraid not, that's all I have but here's a picture of where the main cuts were made and where metal is removed. The dash area is cut between the switches and the bottom of the windscreen. There's a couple of things I did which you may not at first notice... The roof is lowered 2" but there's a full size windscreen. I cut through the windscreen pillars just above the scuttle, leaving just the outer sheet metal intact. I then cut across the roof a few inches back from the windscreen and pushed the screen surround back until it matched up with the lower roof. All the other windows are tinted perspex. The front wings are 1" lower at the front than normal, giving a "droop snoot" look. The bonnet scoop was necessary to clear the rocker cover & carb. If you're thinking of building one I can give you more information.

minijohnThanks, unfortunately I don’t have the skill or courage to create a mini sprint but always wondered how to go about doing them. Altering bodywork on minis can be a divisive but I’ve always like the proportions of sprints Thanks for the info 👍

Retroturbo - "Words by Christian Tilbury" If it helps, I lived in Farnham, Surrey at the time and the photos in the magazine were taken in that area.
