Placeholder So I can answer questions related to the Track activity on Saturday - Please ask questions below and I'll answer them in the thread and also edit this post to provide all Q&A in the first post so no-one has to trawl thro a thread looking to see if a question has been asked or answered. So first one from boffer8 elsewhere on the Forum (this triggered the thread) I see there is going to be tracktime available at Goodwood again this year, is there going to be a chance for members to apply before Jo Pub or will it be all at once? Is there going to be a "selection" process or first come first serve? Yes - Possibly Great idea I think we should do this (HoTWire ) And always - There is always a selection process as we want a variety covering everything that is RR (oh and I don't want 60 mx5's - I like MX5's I just don't want 60 of them ) Hello for the sprint session do I need to bring helmets for me and my passenger or are they optional? Thanks Helmets are mandatory - Passengers need to be in the same family "Bubble" Noticed on goodwood events page there's a trackday on the Friday, do you know if they're allowing spectators? Could the question be asked if you don't? Be decent if we can watch before banging tents up. I have asked and Spectating is allowed - What is requested is that you spectate with discretion - no large groups of people and please try to stay out of the paddock (if everyone does that it'll be fine) Any details on the “sprint”? Will be it be the whole circuit like 2019 or just a section? How many people/cars will be in each session, aiming for 3 runs? Same as 2019 whole circuit 2 laps - min 3 runs (provided no incidents because they really eat into track time) Also - are there any tyre restrictions? No tyre restrictions but please bear in mind whatever you use will be cold for the first part of the sprint Just wondered what the noise limits are, it’s noisy but road legal and I don’t think too offensive, but maybe I ought to check? Thanks 105 db static 101 db driveby However the limits for the Autosolo are not the same - Normal Road cars will be fine - anything a little noisy will be tested

I can't remember from 2019 so apologies, did we have to apply for track time separate to the Deadline or did it come with it? Thanks

Thanks Completely separate from any other form of display (Paddock display or any other show field permit) Application process will open in a few days (ish) for Sat "Sprint" and Sunday "Autosolo"

Exactly the same as 2019 - we had planned for changes in 2020 but the Rona screwed us over - so we go back to 2019 and what worked well because life has been difficult and right now change is not what we need to run a good event We'll plan for 2022 when we'll do something different again

Just wanted to drop by and say Hello.
I have my application in for the sprint sessions on the Saturday. Looking really forward to bringing my project I’ve been building for the last two years along.
I have a question:
I have a reasonable amount of kit I will bring with me, do we get space in the paddock if we are selected for the track sessions? I have air jack bottles etc to bring with me.

We really don't have a huge amount of space in the paddock certainly not in the pre start line area which is where the cars stay when not on track We have had the odd car in the past that have mechanical issues and we do have a small area set aside for investigation/repair where they won't interfere with vehicle flows The afternoon session get paddock/garage parking for the morning - the Morning get to use that in the afternoon (after the lunch time changeover) I'm assuming that's coming on a trailer and we kick all the trailers/tow vehicles out to a secure area on the infield

If so is that all morning/afternoon or is there a time limit? The rest of the weekend will be spent on the Retrospec+ club stand, so I don't mind having to trolley my bottles etc to the paddock area as my session starts or ends to warm up/down + check over. Also - are there any tyre restrictions?

Okay - So if I understand this correctly you get the paddock after the morning session, or the paddock for the morning if you're in the afternoon session? Correct It makes sense when you see the Goodwood paddock In a nutshell All the afternoon sprint cars are a "Static Display" for the morning (while the morning session is running) It's not mandatory but it does keep vehicle movements down to a minimum and also we have window during the morning for noise testing to get that out of the way At the lunch interval all those cars can move into the staging area and the Morning session cars can take their vacated paddock garage spaces for the rest of the afternoon. If so is that all morning/afternoon or is there a time limit? All Morning or All Afternoon - no time limit The rest of the weekend will be spent on the Retrospec+ club stand, so I don't mind having to trolley my bottles etc to the paddock area as my session starts or ends to warm up/down + check over. No clubs stands on the Saturday AIUI Also - are there any tyre restrictions? No tyre restrictions as far as I am aware but it's a good question and one I will check with Goodwood on
