Decided that it's time to part ways with my R32 GT-R, mainly due to lack of use. The car is an Japanese market car imported into the UK in 2015 from auction, I'm the only UK owner so far. It even has a little sticker to show it's not radioactive as it was exported post Fukashima.
MOT:
Due April 2022
As you can see if you check MOT history online it's passed every year since it's been here bar this year, this was a leaking ABS unit. This is a common fault on these cars due to it's proximity to the turbos and the heat they generate. a lot of owners just delete the ABS and remove the dash bulb but as I wanted to retain it for originality's sake I replaced it with a working unit and it flew through the retest. The radius arm bushes advised in 2016 were replaced with Nismo items listed below.
Due to being a JDM car it doesn't have a rear foglight, I usually run a temporary bare minimum one for MOT's as I don't want an ugly one screwed to the back bumper and as weekend car it wouldn't get driven in fog anyway.
Mileage:
85k km / 53k Miles
Exterior:
Gun Metal Grey Metallic in good condition as seen from pics. There are a few stone chips and dings here and there as you'd expect from a 30 year car. The underside was undersealed when the car was imported and has protected it well. Some exterior rubber is showing it's age.
Interior:
Decent overall but a few bits here and there. It has the usual dash bubble on the passenger side and there's a few screw holes where I've removed some of the previous Japanese owner's extra gauges (I think I still have them somewhere, will include them if so, should the buyer want to refit them). There's a tear in the drivers side seat bolster. Everything works except the dash stereo controls as the factory head-unit is long gone and the Catalytic Converter Temperature Warning Light as the sensor was removed when the Decat was fitted.
Engine and Drivetrain:
Although the car came with a 'Tomei Engine Specialist' sticker on the back, it is assumed to be stock as I've no evidence of any work carried out. MGT Motorsport checked the car over and reported everything on the exterior of the engine was stock. It's possible there may be some modified internals but again, assume it's stock. The boost controller allows 2 settings which I have set to 0.75 and 0.95bar. The original factory airbox is still present too which is pretty uncommon.
In 2019 the gearbox came out to replace a few seals and was inspected at the same time. The clutch was identified as being on it's last legs so I took the opportunity to replace it at the same time. As the plan at the time was to increase the power in the near future, I opted for a Nismo Super Coppermix Twinplate clutch which is rated up to around 650hp and the lack of mileage in that time means that it's still practically new (Pictures and invoice available).
The car came with it's rear wheel steer immobilized and after while developed some play in the rear steering rack. As such the rear rack has been replaced with an MGT Motorsport Lockout Kit.
Additional info:
As mentioned above, in 2019 (<800km mileage ago) the car went into MGT Motorsport to fix a few small oil leaks and replace some of the worn bushes. They went over the car, identified a few other issues and corrected them all.
Overall it drives very nicely.
Factory spare wheel present and correct.
Full Spec List:
1991 JDM 'Zenki' R32 GT-R

Yokohama Advan Sport 255/40R17, good tread left on all 4.
Nismo Wheel Nuts (+1hp per nut)
R33 GT-R Brembo Brakes w/ EBC Pads
R33 GT-R BM57 Master Cylinder
Nismo 'Old Logo' Downpipes
Tomei ti Decat
Fujitsubo 3" Cat-back Exhaust
HKS EVC-S Boost Controller
HKS Turbo Timer
Blitz ATTESA Controller (Control F/R 4wd bias, or go fully RWD)
Tomei 310kph Speedo
Tomei HICAS bypass
MGT Motorsport HICAS lock out
Nismo Shift Knob
Nismo Tension Rods
Nismo Upper Link Set
Nismo Super Coppermix Twin Plate Clutch (<500 miles old)
Thatcham Cat1 Alarm
Blaupunkt USB and Bluetooth headunit (Factory JDM Antenna barely receives UK FM frequencies)
Renown USA 'Motorsport 100' Steering Wheel
HKB Steering Wheel Boss
Basically, it's a good, honest, usable example. Whilst it's not a concourse car, it's in a condition to enjoy and not feel guilty about adding to the mileage. It's also the perfect base to build a big power car should you want to.
Sold.
I'll do my best to answer any questions.
