I have a good genuine Ford cat off my Mondeo 2.2 TDCi, just wondering where one goes to flog them these days, and what the going rate was as scrap or as a spare part?

Plenty of people buying them on Facebook. I usually take them to EMR though they pay the best prices I've found.

Dunno but must be worth something as someone went to all the effort of stealing one from my mum's car during lockdown.

Try your local scrap dealer. They're usually keenly priced.

Theres a facebook page. You post photos of the codes and then people will make you an offer. You sell to the highest. That or ebay. don't just take it to any old scrap yard and be happy with 50quid!!!

Keep hold of it for MOT if you have a decat pipe on there Cat not fitted is a fail for all fuel types, not just petrol now I'm well aware, it has a 3" turbo back with a sports cat in it. |
