I need a gaiter/ seal for a classic Saab 900 rear wiper that is nla, but I figured I can make a new one from a track rod end boot with a small enough hole. I bought one for a classic Mini, assuming those have 5/16" locking rod threads (if that's the correct term), but it turns out they're 1/2". Doe anyone know if there are any cars with track rod end gaiters with a 5/16"/ 8mm hole? I need something like this with the small hole being 5/16", other dimensions less important as I'll need to cut it down anyway:

I think 5/16 would be too small for most cars, could you put something inside the small hole to make it smaller (like a piece of rubber pipe) and then put a clip/cable tie around?

You can get little rubber boot things to go over rose joints of all sizes. McGill motorsport will have them, they also sell on ebay. Sorry I am too stupid to do a link to anything.

Ford pop have really tiny ones, as it sit up and beg pops. They could be 5/16” or maybe 3/8”.
