Got the Airbag warning light on the dashboard and scanning the codes indicate it's the passenger seat occupancy sensor, I've seen loads of write ups and You Tube videos about the little Bypass modules and have a technical question I can't find an answer to : Will using one mean that the airbags etc still function correctly in the (hopefully never !!) event of an accident ??

From memory you can get ones that fool the seat into thinking its permanently occupied or permanently unoccupied - so airbag on or airbag off. As I am without children I'd rather it went off when noone was sat in the seat than it not go off if an adult was in the seat.

The bypass module just tells the SRS module that the seat is occupied and the belt is fastened so in the event of (relevant) accident the bag WILL be triggered to deploy.
