I've owned this bus since Nov 2013 when I purchased it from a fastidious chap on another forum who I'm still in touch with. It's been fantastic, my daily driver for several years, used for camping, days out, furniture removals, all the usual stuff. Now it's getting very little use so I'd like to find it a new home. Not quite retro I suppose, but perhaps sone interest on here for a high spec T4?
I'm currently in the middle of a polishing marathon to get it ready for sale, so new photos to follow ASAP, but I will include a few photos from over the years below - it still looks the same:
Spec as follows:
- Mileage 143k
- Engine rebuilt at 121k by vwconnections.co.uk
- New clutch, release bearing and DMF at 140k miles
- Last service with Castrol Edge 5w40 at 140k miles
- New Bosch starter at 142k miles
- MOT expires 11/01/22 - check the history online if required, reg W302AEG
- Originally 88bhp, Remaped to 108bhp by Wagenworx - Stage 1 Tune / Map - really shifts uphill, cruises easily at the motorway limit - nothing like the 2.4D I had previously! Does 35mpg+ whatever the journey, most economical thing I've ever owned!

- Originally 8 seats, with two captain seats upfront. I still have the original Caravelle rear seats, rear shelf and fixings to go with the van but fitted a multivan rear seat/bed setup in 2014 along with a ply floor and safety flooring as per pics. The original carpet is under the ply floor so the van could be put back to standard in a weekend.

- FASP passenger seat swivel fitted, brand new drivers side one included if required

- Split charge with leisure battery
Camping equipment wise, I built a small plywood removable pod unit to go behind the drivers seat. It has a Waeco compressor fridge (CR50 I think), small two burner SMEV hob, tap with electric pump, a small cupboard area for cutlery, cups and stuff, and holds a small gas bottle and water tank. All works fine and served us well but could do with tidying up a bit now as I vinyl wrapped it and it looks a little tatty. Functional though!
The rear genuine multivan seat has two inertia belts and a lap belt in the centre, all genuine VW fitment. It can slide forward on it's rails to make the boot area huge for shifting things, fold to make a full kingsize bed, or lift out completely along with the shelf unit behind. Very comfortable to sit or sleep on.
